I just recently downloaded klarna around the holidays it was great I was able to get all my family gifts and not break the bank I then paid all 5 of my purchased accounts off before the due date... I haven’t made any purchases since I paid them off in the beginning of January I just recently went to make a purchase and I got a message saying I was not approved for the ghost card account to try A different form of payment I check to make sure my card info was correct and i know I have money in my account everything was the same as the last time I made purchases so I tried it again still the same response I then spoke with an agent and they just told me there was nothing they could do about it and that I should just wait a few days remind you I hadn’t made a purchase since the beginning of December but anyways I waited two weeks and tried it again still the same response I was not able to create a ghost card so I spoke to a agent again they told me the same thing which I’m still not understanding that I should wait a couple of days and when I explained to them I had already waited two weeks they still told me to wait I also tried again today and got the same message at this point I’m over this app it was fun while it lasted though 😁
So easy to get, but can’t get it!!
Found this app and was so excited to use it! I found a few stores we shop at on here and was excited to start getting some things we needed and be able to pay them off over a short period of time without worrying about a credit check or interest etc. When it came down to funding the ghost card, I first got a error message saying it couldn’t be processed and to either add another card or form of payment. I double checked I entered all of card info correctly and I did! So I tried again and once more!! Then it tells me I’m not approved?!! I don’t get it! So I call Klarna customer service and they tell me they look at past history, bank info and means of paying back the purchase. I’ve never had a Klarna account in my life and I’ve never had a negative bank account. And The purchase I was trying to start out with to try this out was only $53!!! I don’t get it?! The rep on the phone tells me there’s nothing they can do to over ride the decision and I’m just not able to shop with them I guess? Super disappointed. I read some other reviews and agree that you must be pulling other information on people because I have no other things against me to not allow me to find the ghost card to shop! I have way more than the amount in my account to find the ghost card first off and two, I’ve never had an account. I wanted to do a small order to test this out and guess I won’t be using it or recommending it. Super disappointed!!! Not very helpful either!

Good morning, we're sorry to hear we failed to meet your expectations. The last thing we want a new customer to feel is unappreciated. While we may never know exactly what happened, there are a few things we recommend checking before attempting again (and we hope you will!). As it pertains to the error message, be sure you aren't using a prepaid/gift card and that the Ghost card you are using has enough to cover the amount of the entire purchase (we recommend adding 10% for shipping and tax). Additionally, make sure you aren't shopping at a non-domestic store and that the store meets our Ethical Guidelines. As a first-time user (or in the case of any shopper), we aren't able to guarantee that the Ghost card option will be available for all purchases, since each purchase attempt is individually assessed by our automated system. Some things to consider are size of purchase, type of product, and payment and purchase history with Klarna. Those details can change with each order, so it’s possible that future orders could be eligible! We hope you haven't lost complete faith in our services and encourage you to stick with it! Is anyone getting approved for a ghost card anymore?!!
I started using this app in July and found it to be awesome! I made my first purchase which happened to be airline tickets for 5 people and was a little under $900. I fell in love with the app! I used it to help with back to school for 3 kids and a gifts for family members and just other everyday stuff to help get through some tough times. I was recommending it to everyone... I’ve always made my payments on time (like that’s hard since they’re automatically withdrawn) without a problem and even found it easy when I had to get a new bank card to change the information over. I had nothing but good things to say about this app; then I tried to used it for something a couple of days ago and can’t get approved for a ghost card period. I tried all amounts from the lowest of $35 to highest of $918 and also tried different stores. After reading other reviews it seems like maybe they are closing shop. If no one is getting approved for a ghost card then what’s the use of this app? I’m kinda disappointed because I was really hoping to use it for Christmas shopping. I contacted them through chat and seem to have gotten the standard response. Very disappointing!
Now since I’ve written this it’s saying that I have to use a different card. But they can continue to use that same card to pay off my other purchases. It’s not a prepaid or credit card. It’s a bank issued debit mastercard with a chip.
