Why must the app start recording when I connect to the camera? This causes an endless loop of trying to stop the recording so that I can access the stored recordings. This ends up needing several reboots of the camera and connecting the WiFi. Usually takes about 30-60 minutes just to get to the recording before hoping that it can actually transfer the recording.

Have had this camera and app for about a year or so. At the moment no issues with the function of app or camera - not long ago I was hit by another car from behind and I was lucky to have kept distance to the car infront avoiding hitting it, yet this camera didn’t show anything of that. Conveniently it recorded the minute before and after the accident, so I wonder about the usefulness of them both. Other reviews state phones freeze but mine hasn’t in all this time (iPhone)
Hard to beat.

I don’t think this could be worse. Camera has at this point stopped working. App is unusable. I needed footage from an incident and nothing. Loop did not work so the sd card was full. It took over 30m to connect, stop the recording, and then see it wasn’t even saved. Avoid this app and dashcam at all costs. FITCAMX support is also mediocre. App always shows open preview.

Everything works great! The only issue is with the timestamp. After having the camera for a couple months, the timestamp is way off.
This update from Apple will improve the functionality of this app. No new features are included.
Fixed known issues and optimized experience.
