Doesn't work with the flagship Nikon D850 or anything else

Really, Nikon? WMU works with the low end amateur cameras. Consistently. But this abysmal failure doesn't work at all. Why is it that Sony can consistently deliver connectivity, but Nikon can't offer a reasonable solution for their top of the line camera, or any other (I also have the D7500) body. It sometimes worked with version 1 of your software, requiring forgetting/deleting profile EVERY time, then signing up again each time to transfer 1-2 images. REALLY?!? What 75-year-old, out-of-touch engineer thinks this is a workable solution for a modern professional who is charged with social media duties? Now version 2 of this software just hangs and won't connect at all. Calling Nikon tech support doesn't lead to any solutions. As an NPS member, I'm embarrassed by this incredible blunder and complete failure. Wait for version 3 and don't buy a Nikon body until they can fix this, something that every other company can do.EDIT: With the latest update, snap bridge actually works the way it is supposed to. I have to completely change my review, as it actually works as promised, making the D850 the perfect camera for professionals! Took them a year, but someone is listening!
Not working

First off, I can see Nikon has not responded to any of the other reviews I have read here. Some over 2 years old! Bad costumer service… I have never written a bad review before, but I am feeling really defeated right now after wasting so much time trying to upload a short video! Im sure many people (including myself) have recently purchased a Nikon camera because it claims to have wifi so you can download pictures straight to your mobil devices. I think a lot of people don’t use desk top computers on a day to day basis anymore so being able to download straight to your phone or tablet could literally be one of the main reasons someone might be choosing a new Nikon camera... Well turns out the Nikon camera app is awful! It takes forever to download any images and if the camera goes on sleep mode because it is taking too long, it cancels the download! 😑 It is SO frustrating to the point where I can’t even work on the images I need to work on because I have to put aside about an hour of my day just to keep tapping the touch screen on the camera until the download is done! And even doing that sometimes it randomly cancels the download. Ridiculous! Nikon should put more money and effort into creating a better app as this is one of the main reasons I went with their one thousand something dollar camera! And no it’s not an issue on my phones end. I have a pretty good phone that all my other apps work perfectly on. Taking the time to respond to their costumers is the first step Nikon needs to take.
😔 seriously disappointing

I normally don’t write reviews and I am not a negative person, but come on this has gotten me to a point I have too. Maybe I am doing something wrong but I but I feel I know enough about technology and following the directions on how to set something / pair. I have had my D500 now for a year and yet to be able to view my photos through this app. Since I got it. After trying to sync my iphone7 to the camera the only thing I can do use my phone as a remote and take a photo. Great feature. But that is after I sit and wait and wait and wait to get everything to pair. Then when trying to view my photos on the app from the camera is impossible and still to this day haven’t been able to, I just sit and stare at a blank black screen. Then if I try again the app tells my my camera is connected to another device but list my phone. I then have to remove he camera from my phone and start all over again. I have waisted more time trying to get this app to work then I should have. Good thing it’s when I am home messing around crossing fingers to see if the app will work since the camera has WiFi and Bluetooth. And I see commercials for this feature for camera and app. But yet what is the benefit of it if is never going to work. ... so disappointed Specially when I want to share quick photos and haven’t been able too unless I go home download to computer then have to airdrop to my phone. 😔 maybe one day it will work but I am not getting my hopes up at this point.
EXTREMELY difficult to use

Tried to connect to my D5600. Finally, after a few days of trying to figure out this convoluted app, I got it to connect but the photos will not upload unless I do it manually. Even then I’m lucky to get two or three to transfer to my phone. I purchased this camera because of its affordability and the ability to connect to my iPhone. For Pete’s sake, can’t you figure out how to make it a lot more user-friendly?? The idea is perfect. Execution, not so much. *UPDATE*It all of a sudden started working. I don’t even know what I did. It still is very buggy though. Dropping connections all the time. Having to go through connecting the camera and phone repeatedly is VERY annoying since it is not a clear cut method. LOVE the camera. The app functionality will be so much better if you could fine tune it. I’m upgrading my review to three stars. It’ll be five stars when and if this app gets the proper attention it needs.**Another Update**It is now working. Photos now transfer automatically.
Made some minor bug fixes.
Thank you for your support! We look forward to making still more improvements based on your feedback.
