Description

This completely redesigned 3D Version of the famous App "Dock Your Boat" offers even greater enjoyment of training because of its advanced user-friendly functions and beautiful artwork. The developers are passionate skippers by themselves and bring their sailing experience into the game.

The basic concept behind Dock your Boat 3D is the same as for the first 2D Version: The boat and harbour-simulator for docking and undocking under engine helps the skipper to improve her/his skills in safe manoeuvring of yachts in different environments. It also allows to handle lines, fenders and anchor. The wind strength can be set individually depending upon desired degree of difficulty.

If you want to play all scenes you will have to purchase a subscription. You will get access to all existing and future scenes then.

We offer several subscription models ranging from 1 week to 1 year.

The price is shown inside the app since it slightly varies for different countries. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your App Store account settings after purchase.

Recommendation:
Make sure the app can access the internet on the first run! It should download scenes and other configurations that might be specific for your device. After that network is not needed anymore. However you will not get any configuration updates or new scenes then!
You might have to tap the "Factory reset" button on the start screen, if you encounter problems.

What’s New

22.4
Ocean System update bringing better and more stable waves around the boat.
The screen resolution will be reduced when the frame rate becomes low. This means you can set a better quality level without losing performance.

Very good game

I’ve been playing for awhile and I’d say it’s pretty realistic I know it’d be a lot of work but is there any way y’all could add a bigger vessel? I work on a tug boat and I’m close to moving into an operator’s position and a simulator like this could help me out I just wish the vessels were bigger and slower so you really had to take the time to figure out what needed to be done to land correctly as opposed to being able to save yourself quickly with throttle or steering.

Thank you for the feedback. Most users are charter clients and so are we. 😁 I do not have experience in operating bigger boats. But, if you are interested to help with your expertise and be part of our testing team, feel free to contact us with the contact form inside the app or dyb@sfinx-it.com.

Pay for a subscription after paying for the app?

This is annoying. Truly. Why are you trying to continuously get money from me? After paying for the app. It’s annoying. It’s greedy. Charge me $5 for the app if you want, but don’t put this subscription as if you had some GREAT service to offer. It’s a game, let me own the game. Subscriptions for games is such an annoying concept. If you want the real deal without the greediness, get ship mooring sim. It’s somewhere around $5 and you don’t have to pay for a subscription after you pay for the game itself. I’d give it one star if the game was horrible, but it honestly isn’t. I’m just disappointed that a game with potential had to be killed by a subscription.

It´s not greedy - it´s a lot of work! If you are unhappy, you can get a refund from Apple!

Dock your Boat is not just an app. It's a long-term project with a growing community of real sailors, but also players and people who like boats. The constant changes on the platforms require continuous adjustments! We do our best to make the app work on as many devices as possible, but not everything is under our control. We are dependent on the Unity3D game engine and its interfaces to the different operating systems.

Over time, there are always phases where we have to concentrate on technical changes, such as: Unity updates, changed Play Store or Apple Store guidelines, because otherwise the app could be blocked. These times are particularly challenging because mostly nothing works for a while and we have to bring all modules back to life.
Other phases are more fun, such as creating new features, boats or scenes, because here we write our own code, which is easier to keep under control. So, please do not say we are greedy. That´s not fair!

Great game, but...

I love the app and have been playing it for a couple of years now. Super realistic and physics are amazing. I mostly play it while on monotonous conference calls. The subscription based fee irked me initially but now $2 increase? Nope, I'll save my $10 on a freebie. Thanks! ✌️

You know, it is very hard to keep the app updated to the latest technology. I have to waste a lot of time with setbacks every time Unity is bringing a new version of the game engine and then testing and deploying on 4 platforms which takes literally days. But I want to bring more content as well. It´s actually a full time job. I did not explicitly raise the prices. Apple is using the tiers for each country and the retail price also depends on the local taxes.
Think about how much parking a car costs for 2 hours these days. 10$ support the development of the project and get´s you going for 365 days.
Kind regards,
Klaus
