Challenges - daily and season
An internet connection is required for friend sharing and competitions, however maps and navigation do not require an internet connection.
Location Services is required for collecting statistics whilst the app is in the background and the foreground.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
The Snowzat app has been specifically designed to run all day in the background, collecting run statistics, with minimal drain on the battery.
It is really good app. Some suggestions would be voice navigation, with choice of difficulty level in route. Also label the lifts with the numbers and not just the names. Otherwise best app around. I had to download google maps also to get the lift number and double check names and difficulty, just as a backup mostly.

This thing can be the coolest app for skiers. But it crashes often for me (inviting someone to join the group), which makes it not very useful. Also there interference is very odd. It didn't look have the look and feel of good iOS apps.
