This is a great app overall, sometimes I wish you could change the pose but most of the times, it’s just the perfect thing to use when I’m texting someone (love that you can use them as stickers) instead of emojis. In fact, I find it kind of fun to try and make myself, but each one has a different expression on their face, so then instead of sending an angry emoji, I can send an angry chibi!! Lol, anyways, overall, it’s a great app, however yesterday, I went in the app and all of my chibis had been duplicated. There were about 10 sets of my 16 chibis I had made, so I deleted all the duplicates/extras. Then, I had a phone call, and when I came back, ALL of my chibis were gone. I tried to recreate a lot of them, but I wasn’t able to remember how I made most of my favorites. I don’t know if other people have had this same problem too, but I’m pretty sure that it has something to do with the app, not my phone. Then, later my friend and I were hanging out, and he started to make a chibi because I recommended the app to him and he had just gotten it. But right before he hit the “add new chibi” button, I saw it say something about that he didn’t have any chibis, and that he should sign in to iCloud to make sure all his chibis are safe. I believe I have an iCloud account set up, but I’m not quite sure, how can I check? And if I do, where can I recover my chibis? Besides that glitch, problem or whatever you want to call it, I think this app is great and I would recommend it to anyone who is into anime, making avatars, emojis, anything like that. Hope that these problems get fixed soon and that you guys add in something I suggested!!

Thank you for letting us know, we're always working on improving the app 😃
Took me some time

It took me a while to decide to finally decide buy the full version. I appreciate that it’s ad free from the very get go which is rare. I was put off that it felt a bit male oriented but to be fair most Chibi apps are girly so I understand why, it’s just that I am a girl that likes the girly stuff. I finally decided to keep it and get the full version as I discovered the true extent of customization within the app and how you can change the clothing and hair colors which really can change the tone from dreary male to a more girly vibe. So it’s definitely worth adding to my ever growing list of Chibi dress up apps (and just dress up games in general) collection bc surprisingly each one does something different and so they are all worth having. I also want to make sure to support developers that choose one time fees over subscriptions, micro transactions and virtual currencies as those tend to ruin the gaming experience more often than not.
Love it!!!!

I love this game because you get to dress people up until you want them to look like and you even get to dress up to make them look like yourself which is what I do all the time I never made someone random before I made everybody that I’ve seen before everybody that’s a real person and everybody that’s in my family I made them on the skin so please download this game ChibiStudio because it’s a really good game and it’s like it’s all good I like dressing up like they have everything for clothes and you can even change the colors of the clothes when you tap on the outfit and then it shows a whole bunch of colors that you can pick to change the color of your outfit it’s amazing you should go downloadThe game right now it’s just the best thing ever so I think you should go download it so do it it’s the best thing ever I want to play it you’ll be playing that thing every day! Goodbye!!!
Awesome!

When I first saw this app, I thought it looked really cool. I ended up buying the subscription, which I think is totally worth it because it gives you so many options. Anyways, I think the game is really cool but I have a suggestion. I think you should have like a theme every day and then people can dress up their character to fit the theme. Basically I’m saying I think it would be cool if this game was kinda like dress to impress. I think it would be nice if you could like have competitions. Also I think you should add a favorites button so that you don’t have to keep on scrolling. One last thing: I make colors and then when I go make another chibi my colors are not there. Like I make a hair color and it saves, then when I make another chibi the color is not there. This only happens sometimes but I wanted to let you know so you can possibly fix it. Overall, this game is really good and I definitely recommend it.
ChibiStudio 4.0 brings a fresh design for Liquid Glass, full support for iPhone Duo, a more playful canvas, and new ways to find and personalize your chibis.
Requires iOS 26 or later. Some features require iOS 27. Apple Intelligence features require a supported device in an eligible region.
LIQUID GLASS
Every part of the app has been redesigned around Liquid Glass: a new toolbar, a consistent item drawer on iPhone and iPad, and a categories browser you can scrub across with magnification. The faster gallery opens chibis with a zoom transition. Enjoy a new app icon, redesigned Settings and Timeline, and a welcome tour hosted by the little face from the app icon.
MADE FOR IPHONE DUO
ChibiStudio adapts to how you hold your iPhone Duo, keeping the canvas and controls clear of the fold and camera, with support for the outer display too.
- Laptop pose: partially open on a table, your chibi fills the top half and the item drawer fills the bottom. Browse and tap items like a keyboard while the canvas stays in view.
- Book pose: the canvas sits on one side and the drawer on the other, with categories along the outer edge for easy thumb browsing.
- Fully open: make the most of the large display with an iPad-style editor.
- Fold or unfold mid-edit without losing your selected category, active tool, zoom level, or search.
- A little something extra: in laptop pose, your chibi casts a live reflection onto the lower display that follows every edit and color change.
A BETTER EDITOR
- Exploded View separates layers in 3D to help you select items hidden behind others. Drag with two fingers to rotate.
- Pinch to zoom, double-tap with two fingers to zoom in on part of your chibi, and tap the zoom indicator to reset.
- Edit in landscape on iPhone and every orientation on iPad, with the drawer beside the canvas.
- Search for items right inside the editor.
- The redesigned color tool includes Automatic coordinated colors for select items, individual color editing, and custom colors with the system color picker.
- A machine learning model creates more varied, balanced random chibis, with a new animation.
- Improved VoiceOver support in the canvas.
BACKGROUNDS
Choose a random, preset, or custom background color for new chibis, or no background, in Settings. On supported devices, generate backgrounds with Image Playground using a prompt created with Private Cloud Compute to suit your chibi. Share or save chibis without their backgrounds from the gallery.
FIND YOUR CHIBIS
The new Search tab finds chibis by their contents using Apple Intelligence descriptions. On iOS 27, descriptions use Private Cloud Compute when available; otherwise, they are generated on your device. Descriptions sync through iCloud, so each device doesn't need to index your library again. Search still works without Apple Intelligence, with less precision.
Find your chibis in Spotlight or open one with the new Open Chibi action in Shortcuts. A single Settings toggle controls all Apple Intelligence features.
GALLERY, SHARING, AND WIDGETS
- Select multiple chibis to share or delete together. Save directly to Photos or drag chibis out of the gallery.
- Initial iCloud sync shows chibis as they arrive, with progress in the gallery. Pull down to sync any time.
- Choose High Efficiency or Most Compatible image exports.
- Improved link creation and a unified interface for receiving links, chibis of the week, and chibis from widgets.
- Extra large Chibi Calendar on iPad and, with iOS 27, extra large portrait on iPhone. Widgets have a refreshed layout and use less memory for better reliability.
- A Control Center control opens the gallery or jumps straight into the editor.
The Tip Jar and Chibi Builder widget have been removed. Thank you to everyone who tipped over the years! This update also brings smoother animations, updated localizations, and smaller fixes throughout the app.
