Update January 2020Well the awesome Development team have made a fantastic app even more useful. Often times data is captured by a quick photo. It used to be you either took the photo and forwarded, or you opened up the app and then had to dig into a couple of settings to activate the camera. Not any more. By providing a customizable toolbar the ability to take a snap and send is right on the page as soon as you open it up (look in settings to turn this on). Even better - this functionality is supported with "deep press" - so you can hard press the icon - pick the camera option right there, take snap and send. I use this a dozen times a day. It's simple and incredibly quick, useful and robust. Great great stuff.Original Review:Once in a great while along comes an App that pushes others aside in its absolute simplicity and utility.Note to Self Mail is that - its pushed Drafts and other workaround hacks off of my front page. It gets used a dozen times a day.Need to make a quick note to avoid forgetting something. Done! Need to speak a brief idea verbatim and make sure its not lost. Easy. You're on a web-page in iOS and just need to send the link to your inbox for later research. Literally one touch. It uses your actual email send service so its secure (unlike some others), and its massively flexible (e.g. hold down the send button to send to a contact other than your default).Its extremely discrete (app closes after sending, returning you to where you started), its massively flexible (send sketches and photos etc), its a one off cost so beyond reasonable.It is essential for all busy GTD type folk trying to create a secure easy capture of all the things that come up during a day, or indeed anyone juggling lots of priorities and requests and items.Love love love this.

I love this app, and I’ve been using it for years now. I love how quick it is to use and how customizable it is. Sending myself a note or a photo is just a few taps away. I use it constantly to send myself reminders. I can’t fathom the things I would have forgotten to do on time or altogether without it. I have my email set up to drop the messages into different folders based on the address or subject line (shopping, payments, gift ideas, creative ideas, etc.). I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s one of the most helpful apps I’ve ever downloaded.

I've tried numerous mail to self apps over the years and have now finally settled on Note To Self Mail. The app is feature-rich with an easy-to-use and customizable design. I especially like that it supports dark mode. The developer is extremely responsive. When I emailed him with a bug that I had found, he replied right away and requested more information. After I provided it, an app update with a fix was available on the app store within a day!

I’ve intensively searched apps that sends an email to yourself, and my previous choice was Captio, which went out of development after iPhone X series. This app does what it says-email yourself super fast, with your own SMTP accounts for privacy. Add the pro version and I can rapidly fire emails to me, add tasks to OmniFocus or Things 3, and send files and photos from the share sheet. I recommend this app to try out its features, and go pro if you need-or it does pretty much just with the free version.
