I learned about Empower, now Tilt, a couple of weeks ago and so far this app has helped me pay bills when I absolutely had no money left.. I looked for loans but because of my bad credit, I wasn’t qualified for any and then out of nowhere, this app appeared to me and I enrolled, answered a few questioned, gave my information and there it was.. Bad credit saving money.. Because of Empower, I was able to pay a bill on time which saved my credit score from dropping even lower, which as you know, payment history is one of the biggest factors that determines your score in turn determines whether or not you get qualified for a loan bigger than $300.. Now it’s my go to for money when I fall short on my paycheck.. the best part is you don’t have to repay it all on the next paycheck like a payday loan.. they break up the payments up t0 4 installments which is extremely helpful, especially when I don’t make a great amount of money.. payday loans that have to be paid back all at once put me back where i started in regards to not having amount money to get me to my next paycheck.. this set up helps me out a great deal in regards to keeping my credit score from dropping while being able to pay a bill on time.. things come up that I’m not monetarily prepared for.. empower helps get me through financially tight situations.. thank you so much for taking a chance on me and trusting that I’ll pay back the money that was loaned to me..
This was fast!

I got this as an offer on my Sezzle account. I opened it just to see what it was and decided to try it. I chose a small advance to see how it worked and the amount was in my account in about 1 minute! They can open a savings account for you also and debit the money for you if you have the money in your account. I can’t wait to see how much I can save. You get to choose that amount btw! This was just the first time using, but applying and connecting to my bank was very fast and the advance was super fast! I love how they don’t let you go overboard. From what I’ve seen so far, they are here to help you with advances within reason, help you to save money and eventually get a line of credit, and help you rebuild your credit at the same time. I recommend if you are trying to rebuild credit and might need a small amount to help carry you over without getting you in trouble financially. After all, you have to start somewhere when rebuilding your credit, and from what I’ve seen from this app, this is the perfect place to do so!! Just give it a try!!Update: I have been using this app for two weeks now and still love it!! A note on the savings acct part of it: If you don’t have the funds, Empower will not draw the money from your account until you have enough funds. They will NOT make you overdrawn, ever. So give it a try!! I have been very impressed!! And take it from someone who has tried almost everything. This is the place to get small advances, a reasonable line of credit and save money all at the same time!! This app will help you rebuild your credit!! I promise you!! Just try it out!! You have nothing to lose and a lot to gain!! 😊
I’m new
April Workman
Hello everyone I’m very new to The Empower app. I have seen and heard of the Empower app on ads before quite a few times before and have been very interested in giving it a try, so I am rating this app 2 stars for now due to I did have to pay 8 bucks for the first month just to get an advance of 10 dollars, I’m a bit confused on that and pretty turned off about it due to the fact that I have used other apps like Dave and Albert and their fees are no where near that high, Dave’s is somewhere around $1.99 or $2.99 a month and Albert I believe was free or $4.99 if you wanted to explore other features on the app. So with that said I am rating Empower 2 stars. I will give the app a month to prove to me whether or not, I actually keep the app. Part of downloading the app was the fact that I seen on the ads from different sites that I was using that you could get up to $250 for a pay advance, not saying that I need the advance all the time but when you need it, you need it and so I really think $8 dollars a month is really high just starting out for a $10 cash advance, so I will come back on here next month around the 28th, 29th of February and let everyone know how I actually feel and if it’s worth the $8 dollars. Thank you for reading my review and if you try this app out, please let me know what you think?
Good bank but a lot of changes
Karston fox
This bank is pretty good. Better than any big bank or local bank in my option. The only real problem is that the bank is constantly changing and trying to be different. Like from when I started using this bank to now the only way you recognize it’s the same is the name. Everything is changing like the percentage of interest for savings accounts ( downward trend) and they made me open another card and another account because they are changing something else (I didn’t really understand exactly what was going on at first. I thought they were just shutting down the bank completely. But apparently that isn’t the case) they also changed it to where you had to pay monthly to use the bank but since I was an early adopter they didn’t charge me (I’m not sure if they changed it back to not being a subscription ) but yeah a lot of changes. Even the colors fonts and the card are completely different. They have some cool features now like live coaches. but there are some big downsides like once I was trying to buy a car with cash but the limit was 500 withdrawn a day and they don’t have a number support line they only have ticket support so I had a stressful time trying to get the money for this car the same day. Also the budgeting feature isn’t that easy to use but I haven’t even tried. For some reason it says I spend like 5k a month when I’m not even spending or making that much but I think it’s because I’m moving it from checking to savings and it counts it as a transaction and a purchase. Anyways I’ve had some issues but what bank doesn’t have issues.
