Ratings and Reviews
Ai needs major work... IDEAS ON HOW TO DO IT.
Absolutely brilliant game. Very realistic. The controls are well done, and the graphics can be adjusted anywhere from extremely detailed to very low quality to ensure the game runs on all your devices smoothly. My only concern, though, is the AI. The AI runs as if you’re not even there. In fact, I have to throttle my bike and ride along the outside of turns, just so the AI doesn’t smash into me. There is also no character in the AI, whatsoever.
Luckily, I have some ideas that are guaranteed to help.
> have the AI use mapped out “collision boxes” on all sides but the back ends of the bikes to enable them to auto-distance themselves from each other and from the player.
> Make it so the AI can detect the edges of the tracks, and make it so the AI makes just the slightest random adjustments to allow them to move to any random distance away from the track rails.
> don’t forget to add an overtake function! I rarely see any overtakes in the races, and make sure you have top speeds that are slightly indifferent fo each other in the AI and don’t forget to also have those randomly vary the slightest during races as well.
These tips should help you map out a “free-moving” but also self-aware AI that never does the same thing over and over, and is also aware of the driver. Please put thought into this, as I want this game to continue to grow more popular by the minute.
Needs improvement but best MotoGP game around
This is my second review on a different phone for the same game and it’s the same issues. You have weekly races and it really doesn’t help unlocking the next level. You can earn all the bikes from playing but it will take you a very very long time to get them and it will frustrate you to no end. This game cost up to $80 US to get the fastest bikes. If you do spend $80 US you will still not get:
Challenging races (very bad AI)
More story mode (you have to handicap yourself to get any kind of challenge)
Unlimited races. (You have to have another in game currency to play anything, nothing is pick up and play)
JUST SELL YOUR GAME FOR 1 PRICE AND GIVE PEOPLE ACCESS TO THE ENTIRE GAME.
I’d pay $20 US to have this game as is. Been playing for years and haven’t had the time or patience to gather 60 PIECES OF 1 BIKE JUST TO UNLOCK 1 BIKE!! The system is not good. Give more bike parts, but honestly it’s been years and it hasn’t changed a bit.
Too easy and too long to progress
I’ve tried several motorcycle games and the mechanics in this one are the best. It feels to me the most accurate to riding a motorcycle IRL with smooth directional changes instead of instant choppy changes back and forth. For that reason, I really wanted to like this game, but I can’t. Once you improve your bike at all, career mode is a joke. Way to easy to win and you have to do 14 races taking roughly 5-6 minutes each to advance from one level to the next. I’m half way through the second rookie level of 3 levels and it’s still an easy win every race. Boring! I suppose I could spend real money to buy a Moto3 bike (the next level up from rookie), but I’m afraid I would have the same problem. Trying to earn the 900 in game currency to but the next bike would take forever at $2-3 per race. Make it harder and let me advance to higher racing classes more easily with ads and I’ll be back.
