Wonderful productivity tool!

It is so convenient to use this app and not have to scroll through screens of web links in my browsers—pull down the menu bar of organized shortcuts at the top of your screen and pick and choose! My only issue is that you cannot back up or export your shortcuts, which gives you no sense of security. Once you get a new computer or a clean install, all your time spent creating links is lost! Even if I could see a CSV or TXT file of my shortcuts, I wouldn’t have to take screenshots of my groups for backup. I would give this feature five stars if it became a feature that should already be provided in any app with shortcut creation.
Great app and responsive programmer

Having looked at a bunch of similar utilities, I can say that this one is among the best in class. As a consultant, I work on a project basis and need to see all the most relevant items associated with the project quickly and easily. This App allows exactly what I need. I don’t have to see every file in my folder but can add only the ones that are currently relevant. And it includes web links and text snippets.Previously I wrote that this app was useful but lacked a couple of features. One of the two features I requested appeared in an update just a week or so after I wrote. I’m guessing the update was planned and I happened to be another user asking for it, so the timing seemed perfect for me. What I asked for was "to have the option in preferences to only show the top level / shortcut groups when I click on the star. I should be able to point / float over the name of the shortcut group and then (and only then) see the sub-items or links in the shortcut group. Having every shortcut show in the dropdown is messy and distracting.” The update includes this functionality, but a better implementation of it that I suggested. It’s not a preference, it simply shows the top level shortcut headline witha carat to the right that, when clicked, expands to show all shortcuts. It remains open on subsequent clicks on the star unless you minimize it. Much cleaner and makes this app much more useful. My other request was " I would like Shortcut bar to be able to be pulled into the sidebar in finder and operate like it does up in the tray (or whatever that top of screen bar is called on my mac)”. I don’t know if this is even possible so I won’t hold my breath. I’ve upped my rating from 4 to 5 stars. Thanks!
As Easy as Skating in the Park!

I’ve been using Mac computers for about 35 years now and comparativly to PCs the operating system is very easy to use. But then came SHORTCUT BAR! If there were an analogy to discribe what it’s like using Shortcut Bar it would be as easy as “Skating In The Park.” You can simply start from the top level of your hard drive and skate down to any depth you like filling your screen with menu paths as you drill down. Want to start over? Simply click on your desktop. I have found most people get confused between their operating system and their hard drive. Shortcut Bar gives your hard drive a whole visual understanding of navigating and its construction. Oh, and that’s just one aspect of Shortcut Bar. Install it today, you won’t be sorry you did. “It’s like skating in the park!"
Easiest way to group favorites in one place.

I mostly use it for current projects to keep folders and related web page URLS easily accessible every day, without digging through folder after folder path in Finder to get to them. It leaves my finder window sidebar favorites list clear for those things that that you want there for longer-term access. I particularly like the way a folder added to the Shortcut Bar list immediately springs open several of its contained folders in windows for easy selection as you hover your mouse over folders deep inside with nearly no effort or clutter. Select one. Let go of the mouse and it all disappears out of the way into your main menu bar.
- Sort by Date: New option in Preferences to sort folder contents by date modified (newest first) when hovering over folders
- Indent Items: New option to visually indent files and folders under their group headers for a clearer hierarchy
- Browser Picker: Hover over a web link to see all available browsers and open it in your preferred one, no right-click needed
- More Icons: Added 8 new group icons including house, office, briefcase, globe, folder, gear, music, and game controller
- Bug fixes and UI improvements
