Application to mirror the screen of your Mac to any LG Smart TV. No wires and no additional hardware needed! You can also stream individual video files from your Mac to your TV. Also, we included the option to watch one window on your Mac, and another window on your TV!
This works on any LG Smart TV from the 2012 models onwards. And the LG Home Theater System.
In using the app, there will be about 2 to 3 seconds of latency. So this mirroring is not suitable for gaming.
However, it is very suitable for watching movies, giving presentations, watching photos, and much more!
The quality of your experience will be dependent on the quality of your local network. Some tips to enhance the experience:
- Preferably, connect your TV by LAN cable to your router.
- Use an "ac" router. If you don't have one, then an "n" router.
- Try not to overload your wifi network by moving big files around while you are mirroring.
How the app works:
First, make sure that your LG TV is on the same local network and same subnet as your Mac. The TV should not be in screen mirroring mode, but just on "TV" Mode or any HDMI IN port.
After launching the app, you will see the app icon appearing in the top bar of your Mac and the app will look for your TV on the network. It will show your TV when it has found it. Now, you have two options:
Mirror your Mac Screen:
Use this option to put the screen of your Mac on TV. In source, you can select which screen (or attached monitor) you want to display on TV. If you are running multiple applications on your Mac, you can also select which application window you want to see on TV.
Enable Sound: check this to hear the sound of your Mac coming from the TV. You will need the additional (free) audio driver, which you can download here: http://bit.ly/MirrorAudio
Play Video File:
Use this option if you have a video file on your Mac and you want to play just the file on TV. Drop it in the box and it will play on TV.
Settings (the icon in the bottom right of the app): click here to request support from our 24/7 support staff. They usually respond within 2 hours on any query that you might have. If your question is technical, please also include the diagnostics information.
Limitations: Apple has HDCP DRM protection for playing iTunes movies. This means that screen mirroring is not possible when watching movies from iTunes.

I've been using it every day for about a week. For the most part, it works well. Occasionally I see a lag. Its funny to listen to a video from my Mac but the video on the tv doesn't synch up to the audio. I rebooted my computer and made sure that both the tv and the Mac were using the same router. I'm out of ideas on how to make this better. I mostly use this product to practice yoga so I'm not as concerned about the lag, but if I were really trying to watch something, I think the lag would bug me. I wish I understood the inconsistency part of the lag. I don't have a lot of bandwidth used in the house so I'm sure where to troubleshoot further.

To be able to play audio on your TV, you will need the additional (free) audio driver. You can download the driver on our website: http://bit.ly/MirrorAudio After that, when you are using Mirror for LG Smart TV app, make sure you have selected “Enable Sound on TV”. The sound will also play on your TV, along with the video. So you will not notice the delay. Purchased the app because we had a storm that produced lightning which, in turn, knocked out my tv cable on one side of my house. (Internet still works fine.) Because of the pandemic, my cable provider cannot enter my home to fix the problem. My LG is a smart tv but older than 2019, so it does not work with airplay 2. The app is working great and is an excellent option if your tv does not work with airplay 2. The installation is quick and easy. I also downloaded the audio driver (necessary if you want to use the tv audio). I misunderstood one of the commands during set up and could not connect (the wording should be changed to avoid this). I reached out to customer service...they replied within minutes, had me send them a diagnostic report; they read it and had an answer in less than 10 minutes! They then circled back around to make sure that I was up and running! The lag is the only downfall that I have experienced, but if you only watch the tv and not your laptop screen, it's not a big deal! Definitely worth it and I would recommend it!

During this Stay @ Home Pandemic dilema, my wife and I started to watch some entertainment shows on the internet via my ipad but found the screen to be too small to real enjoy them. I used to have a tv mirroring system called Mactivia TV but found after trying to set it all up my Mac Catalina OS system told me that it could not handle the old 32 bit format. I found some computer to TV gadgets on line but they entailed too many accessories and uncertainties. So I figured, "Why not try the App Store?" which brings me to this review. Luckily I have a LG smart TV which fit the bill to try this app. Unfortunately the app did not fully work for me. Of course I contacted the Airbeam Support team who had me up and running thereafter. This app really eased our pandemic STAY @ Home issue with entertainment. Great job developer team!

My wife and I depend on other user reviews for online purchases that we are not familiar with. For us - this App works exactly as advertised. We use the App often for screen sharing videos, pictures and some streaming content. The only lag time that we experience is in the first couple of seconds when we start the App - once the App is running, no problems. I see all of the negative reviews but we just have not had issues with our product. We live in a 5G community - when 5G became available, I had an issue with syncing my router to the smart LG TV - I had to add the 5G address to the settings in the TV - once that was done, everything worked great. We do have equipment to handle a 5G network - I'm not sure if that makes any difference but we are perfectly happy with the Mirror for LG Smart TV App.
