INTRODUCE
Saint Chess is a calm, focused Xiangqi (Chinese chess) table for phone, tablet and desktop. The board lies flat on a warm walnut surface, seen from above, so every chariot, horse, elephant, advisor, cannon and soldier reads like a real wooden set. You sit on the Red side at the bottom of the board, as tradition expects, whether you face the Master or a friend across the same screen.
This version brings a fully rebuilt layout that adapts to any screen, an original soundtrack based on a classic Chinese folk melody, crisp wooden sound effects, and a seasonal leaderboard that rewards every win and draw against the Master.
HOW TO PLAY
Tap one of your pieces to select it, then tap a highlighted point to move. Captures remove the opposing piece. The General must stay inside the palace and may never face the other General on an open file. Advisors walk the palace diagonals, Elephants cannot cross the river, Horses can be blocked at the leg, Cannons need exactly one screen to capture, and Soldiers gain sideways steps after crossing the river. Checkmate wins; stalemate and threefold repetition are draws. Undo is always one tap away when you want a second look.

• vs Master · Super intellect — a deeper search that runs entirely on your device
• Two players · Same device — pass and play without flipping the board
• Puzzles — 16 tactical positions to solve, with your progress saved
The Master shows a short thinking cue, then highlights the piece and its destination before the move lands, so you always see the plan.
SEASON LEADERBOARD
Games against the Master earn season points: Easy gives 10 for a win and 4 for a draw, Hard gives 25 and 10, Super intellect gives 50 and 20. A loss scores zero, so every game is safe to try. Points add up over the whole season and reset when a new season begins. Pick a nickname to appear on the online board, switch between the current season and the all-time tab, and find your own row highlighted. Results played offline wait on your device and are sent once you are back online.
MUSIC AND SOUND
An original arrangement of the traditional melody Mo Li Hua (Jasmine Flower) plays softly in the background: plucked zither, bamboo flute and a gentle drone, looping for well over a minute so it never feels repetitive. Pieces click like real wood, captures land with weight, a soft gong marks check, and short jingles close each game. Music and sound effects each have their own switch in Settings.
DESIGNED FOR EVERY SCREEN
The interface was rebuilt from the ground up. On tall phones the board sits in the middle with large buttons below; on tablets, desktops and landscape windows the board moves to one side and the controls line up beside it. Text wraps cleanly, long rule panels and puzzle lists scroll smoothly, and nothing overlaps the board.

TIPS
Develop your horses early and keep their legs clear. Watch the open file between the two Generals. In puzzles, look for forcing checks before grabbing material. If Super intellect feels slow on an older device, practise on Hard first.
