Key Features:
- View every member on one full-screen live map with avatar pins, battery level, and a last seen time.
- Read status at a glance with a fresh, recent, or older presence ring around each pin.
- Tap any person to center the map and show their last 30 minutes of movement.
- Keep your own recent path visible on the map so you can check your route quickly.
- Long-press your own pin to open the two-step SOS confirmation screen.
- See saved places like Home, School, Work, Family, Restaurant, Shopping, Park, and Other as labeled map pins with a tinted area.
- Use the Ping button to ask for a fresh location update and refresh your own pin.
- If location access is off, a banner at the top of the map offers a direct jump to Settings.
How it works:
- Drag the bottom sheet from collapsed to medium to view your circle list with avatar, freshness, and battery percent.
- Open the large sheet to reach Saved Places, Route History, and Circle Settings.
- Long-press a member row for View Details, Route History, or Ping for Fresh Location.
- Tap a place pin on the map to jump straight into the place editor.
- Start an active trip from the walking button, pick a saved place or custom destination, and watch speed and elapsed time update live.
- End a trip with the Arrived button on the in-app card.
Saved places and alerts:
- Add one saved place free with Home as the default place; add more places with Pro.
- Set the place size with the radius slider from 50m to 500m.
- Turn arrival and departure alerts on for each place.
- Position a place by dragging the map under the fixed center crosshair while the radius readout updates in meters.
- Delete places with swipe to delete or from the editor confirmation screen.
- Arrival alerts include View on map and Snooze 1 hour actions.
Route history:
- See the last 24 hours of history for each member in a newest-first list.
- Open Route Playback to scrub along the path and follow an active dot on the map.
- Watch time, speed, and accuracy update as you drag the route slider.
- Pull to refresh when you want the latest history.
- Pro adds up to 30 days of history, a day picker, playback animation, and stop labels.
Circle tools:
- Invite people with a shareable invite link and let them join from a simple accept screen.
- Edit your own profile with a name field, 10 avatar choices, and 8 tint colors.
- Mark your own row as You so your device is easy to spot.
- Remove members with swipe to delete and a confirmation alert.
- Free includes 2 members total; Pro unlocks unlimited members.
Lock Screen and quick access:
- Follow an ETA card for Home on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island when active.
- See a running trip card with live speed in mph, elapsed time, and arrival controls.
- Add widgets for quick family status from the Home Screen, Lock Screen, and StandBy.
- Use voice shortcuts and quick actions to open the live map, ping for a fresh location, say you are home, or check where someone is.
Privacy and battery:
- Built to stay battery-friendly, with a public goal of under 5% of daily battery on a typical iPhone.
- Adjusts tracking based on whether you are stationary, walking, running, cycling, or driving.
- Uses low-power location updates between movements instead of keeping maximum tracking on all day.
- Daily family digest text is created on your device when available, and a simple summary appears if that feature is unavailable.
