It’s easy for guests to use on an IPad on a tripod with a ring light. You are able to do everything in the app besides take a photo without their watermark before paying for a subscription, so you can easily decide if you want to use this app or not before any payment. I was able to create and customize my event and preset all the settings beforehand before paying anything. All I had to do was pay for the subscription right before the event and it’s easy to cancel afterwards. You’ll have one month to use it after subscribing. I did not have a printer at my wedding so I can’t speak on how easy it is to connect. My guests were able to send the photos to themselves via text, email and even airdrop! Just need internet connection. You can go back and resend photos too if someone didn’t get theirs.

Downloaded this app to have a budget Photo Booth experience for a party of ~150 people, and it worked out perfectly. The app UI is kind of clunky, but you get the hang of it after about an hour of messing around, and it more than makes up for it with features. I ended up loading glossy 4x6 paper into my home printer and put instructions on how to use the app on the “welcome screen”, and I uploaded files designed in Canva onto the print layout screen. For $20/month, we used it once for our event and I thought that was a fair price. It’s also cool that you can test the app out before paying - all that happens is the watermarks are removed from the photos after subscribing. If I have another event, I’ll be subscribing again! I have tried some other photobooth app in the ios appstore using my ipad and my dnpqw410 some are working as intended but not exceptional. I have noted this on my research online and had been suggested by peers as well. I would say the app is exceptional. Had some trouble but Christine from support was really helpful! Four suggestions to make the app better! First, An option for the welcome page for the uploaded image to be edited (like how you can edit the printlayout). Second, An option to click the uploaded images on a dropdown or a list as when it gets layered and takes space on the layout it gets hard to adjust and edit. Third, The QR sharing option, it pops out late (about 2sec after all sharing options pops out) after capturing the pictures (hopefully this is not intended). Fourth, an option to turn on and off the saving of single photo capture and printlayout on your device (this is going to be a life saver especially for users who are saving spaces on their devices.) Other than that its a good photobooth app.

I'm not sure what you mean by your second suggestion, please write into support@lumasoft.co with more details. The QR Code depends on your image/video getting uploaded to the internet so the url can be generated. Once it's uploaded, we display the QR Code. Got it on the last suggestion. Usually, the photos take up very little space that we would rather keep them just in case a guest every asks for them. You can always delete them easily from the Photos app on your iPad following the event.

I purchased this app to use for my daughter’s graduation party this coming weekend and I am very disappointed that I have paid the $20 subscription fee so that I could have a seamless process and every time I try to do a video or a boomerang it tells me that it fails to upload I am trying this on an iPhone 13 Pro I am trying this onto iPad minis they are older Versions but they are updated with the latest software to run these apps I am also using the Lu Mesher app so that my guess we’ll be able to view the photos and send them while someone else is taking a photo and that keeps crashing as well. I cannot find any way to contact the support to get assistance with this as I am having this party this weekend and it is very frustrating that I paid the money. I researched for over three weeks different photoBooth apps for the iPad and I chose this and it seems like there are some very bad bugs that need to be addressed I would hope that someone could contact me in order to get this resolved and to provide some support if possible

LumaBooth 5.4.3 improves color accuracy and printer support for USB direct printing.
Printing
- DS820 prints no longer come out dark. We corrected the color profile behind them, so prints come back at the density and color you expect.
- Photos keep their full quality at default alignment. They are no longer rebuilt and recompressed on the way to the printer, so fine detail and rich color reach the paper exactly as your layout made them.
- Color handling for the DS-RX1 and QW410 was reviewed and brought in line as well, so color stays consistent from one printer to the next.
Printer connectivity
- Older HiTi P525L and P520L printers are now detected. They show up in Print setup instead of going missing while the printer reports itself ready.

- Choose the exact print size for your loaded ribbon (5x7, 6x8, 6x6, 5x5, 6x9, 4.5x6 and more), each with its own cut options.
- Multi-up sizes now fill the whole sheet, so one copy on a 2-up size prints two photos instead of wasting half a sheet.
- The print button and the guest copies screen now show how many prints you will get.
- Print sizes your printer's firmware cannot handle are no longer offered.
- The "Cut into 2x6 strips" switch only appears when the loaded paper can be strip-cut.
- Added support for the SwiftFoto KSF-10R printer.
- HiTi prints on older ribbon batches now show accurate colors.
- HiTi job refusals now explain what to do in plain language.
Print setup
- The photo layout paper size picker is now a large, easy-to-tap list of every size your printer supports.
- Cleaner layout and clearer messages throughout Print setup.
Languages
- USB Direct Printing settings are now translated into German, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese.

LumaBooth 5.4.1 makes HiTi prints look the way they should. Prints now use the printer's own color profile and sharpening, so colors match what HiTi's official driver produces instead of running warm, and photos come off the printer noticeably crisper. Portrait photos printed on landscape paper are sharpened correctly too, with no streaking. The HiTi P520L now works with USB Direct Printing alongside the P525L.
This update also makes printer problems easier to sort out. When a HiTi printer stops mid-print, LumaBooth tells you what is wrong, whether it is a paper jam, an empty ribbon or an open cover, and what to do about it, instead of showing a numbered error code. USB printing problems now read in plain language rather than raw error codes.

LumaBooth 5.4 gives you more control over your captures and your prints. Mirror or flip captured photos and videos, resize the live view on the Welcome Screen, and drive the booth on Mac with keyboard shortcuts. Print 2 per page now works with any template size, and Citizen CX-02, CX-02W, and CZ-01 printers work with USB Direct Printing on iPad.
This update also fixes a freeze between the countdown and the photo, wakes DNP DS620 and DS820 printers from standby automatically, keeps your event data safe on accounts with many events, and makes soundtrack, overlay, and sticker changes sync reliably across your devices. Printing text labels now sync with the dashboard too.

LumaBooth 5.3 brings direct USB printing to iPad and Mac. Connect a DNP, Citizen, or HiTi photo printer with a single USB-C cable and print straight from LumaBooth. No AirPrint, no print server, and nothing to install. On iPad this requires an M-series chip (M1 or later) and iPadOS 16 or later. On Mac it requires macOS 12 or later.
Supported printers include the DNP DS-RX1, DS40, DS80, DS620, DS820A, DS820DX, and QW410, plus the HiTi P525L. Cut 4×6 prints into two 2×6 photo strips, see how many prints are left on your ribbon before it runs out, and get clear, plain-language messages whenever a printer needs attention.

LumaBooth 5.4.3 improves color accuracy and printer support for USB direct printing.
Printing
- DS820 prints no longer come out dark. We corrected the color profile behind them, so prints come back at the density and color you expect.
- Photos keep their full quality at default alignment. They are no longer rebuilt and recompressed on the way to the printer, so fine detail and rich color reach the paper exactly as your layout made them.
- Color handling for the DS-RX1 and QW410 was reviewed and brought in line as well, so color stays consistent from one printer to the next.
Printer connectivity
- Older HiTi P525L and P520L printers are now detected. They show up in Print setup instead of going missing while the printer reports itself ready.
