Description

Dual-fisheye viewer lets you view 360° spherical pictures and videos shot in a non-stitched dual-fisheye format used by spherical cameras like the Gear 360.
Generally you only want to get this app if you have a Gear 360 camera but don't have a supported smartphone or a PC.

Exported photos are equirectangular panoramas that contain metadata for various image sharing sites to detect that this is a 360° spherical image.

Almost there, but not ready yet

The biggest issue I found was that when loading an image captured by my Gear 360 camera (2017 version) this software didn't quite figure things out on its own. When I rotate the image I get wild artifacts on the screen, lots of white lines, random object shapes (like a big white triangle). I have a 2015 MacBook Pro so it supports Metal as the author requires. Other than that, the UI needs some additional polish. I can see the tool having potential though. Here's what I'd like to see, and if they were provided I would have paid even more for the software:
1. A queue. Let me select a directory of images and/or videos and the software should automatically stitch them together, with an optional user-specified output directory.
2. Better UI polish. This has the basics covered, but there should be more right-click options when selecting a file. Like "stitch now...", etc.
3. A quick tutorial. If nothing else, a simple UI overlay on the main screen that points out the features, and what to do.

My 3-star rating doesn't mean the software is necessarily bad, especially since the price is reasonable. But if this was really made for the Gear 360, I don't see how the developer could have missed some of the random artifacts displaying on the screen when viewing images out-of-the-box with the Gear 360 files. Maybe I'm missing something. I also looked at the support page and it did not provide any fixes.

Amazing

This app is amazing. It does everything you would expect it to, and for a very affordable price. Most stiching apps cost upwards of 200 dollars, and this is app is able to streamline the process, and make it extremely accessible. I cannot recommend it enough. Espeiclaly useful if you have a Samsung 360 camera and do not have a Samsung phone or Windows computer.

Great Easy Fast.

Minimal tools needed and they are all there for editing. I got the Samsung gear 360 and I use this on my Mac. It works perfect as a Mac user and a Iphone user.
