The issue with online reviews is that everyone's perception of 5-star service is different. This is why we still hold recommendations from our friends so highly. TripSpot aims to capture the "you're going on holiday there? Then you must visit this place!" recommendations from friends by allowing you to leave reviews for only your friends to find whenever they open the app in a location someone else has visited. Open up your map and along with a list of nearby places to visit, you will see what your friends think of that place.
You and your friends will also have different tastes, but if you know your friend is the person to go to if you're looking for a good burger or a fancy restaurant, all you need to do is follow their breadcrumbs. Check out the most popular place among all your friends. Or, if you're the group connoisseur, leave reviews for them to see.
