Built by on-call crews. iFire has been designed to provide retained/volunteer fire crews with a real-time team availability information & allowing them to book on/off quickly and easily. The app allows team members to book themselves as unavailable, for example if they need to leave the area, and book back on when they return at the touch of a button. The availability is instantly updated across all other team members phones so it's easy to see at any time who is available should the team have a call-out. Geofencing doesn’t work

The geofencing feature was one of the main reasons our station decided to use this app and pay the premium subscription fee. Most of us have jobs that are several miles away from the station so our availability changes frequently, often several times a day. As such, we have to manually reset our availability status several times a day and sometimes we forget, which makes the info on the app hard to rely on when a call comes in. Can you fix this please?

Not everything works still

Even with the subscription the added features don’t work. Buggy. Works a little bit better than nothing. Was hopeful that the new update would fix the geofencing and scheduled office hours. Nothing has improved functionality. Looks a bit different but still doesn’t do what it say it does.

Hi Jon, sorry for your bad experience with my app. I have a new version about to be released which has had large parts of the app re-written to be more stable and fix bugs. This should be available in the next 4-5 days.

New • Geofencing — set your station on a map and let the app update your availability automatically when you arrive at or leave the station (subscription required). • App lock — secure the app behind Face ID / Touch ID, with an opt-in during setup or in Settings. • Smarter mobilisation alerts — call-out alerts now break through Do Not Disturb and show full-screen so a shout is harder to miss. • Notification settings — a new screen with quick links to the system controls for alerts, Do Not Disturb override and full-screen alerts. • Update reminders — the app now tells you when a newer version is available. • Beta programme — opt in to beta testing from Settings. • Community — Instagram and Discord links added to the menu. Improved • The crew list now refreshes automatically every time you reopen the app, so availability is always current. • Notifications and the app badge clear automatically when you open the app. • Chat now opens straight at the newest message. • The keyboard gets out of the way when you open the side menu. Fixed • Availability auto-apply preferences now save correctly. • Resolved errors when viewing certain resources in the Resource Finder, and rejected resources no longer appear. • Improved reliability of subscription handling.
