BiliBuddy supports clinicians assessing neonatal jaundice in infants born at 35 weeks of gestation or later.
Use Quick Check to compare a total serum bilirubin reading with American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) 2022 phototherapy, escalation-of-care, and exchange-transfusion thresholds. Enter age in hours, gestation, and additional neurotoxicity risk factors. View the result and threshold charts in mg/dL or µmol/L.
Track infants locally to review reading history, plot trends, and calculate the rate of rise. A date-and-time calculator helps determine age at measurement. Share a text result summary using the device's share sheet.
The 2022 guideline is selected by default. An optional legacy AAP 2004 pathway is available in Settings, with its supported chart range clearly identified. Reference material and links to source guidelines are included.
Clinical entries are stored on the device. Usage analytics is optional and off by default. Advertising and crash diagnostics use third-party services described in the in-app Privacy Notice. An in-app purchase removes ads, and Restore Purchases restores an eligible prior purchase.
For clinician use. BiliBuddy does not replace clinical judgment, clinical assessment, or consultation of the source guideline. It is not an electronic health record. Do not use outside the supported age and gestation ranges.
As a physician who had a Bili-baby and used this tool first hand, I highly recommend it! It is incredibly useful and adding new values is very easy to do.The phototherapy/risk/exchange plots are high quality and accurate. I was able to send screenshots to family to help keep everyone in the loop for progress. My one critique would be that transitioning between the risk level text and actual plots was not intuitive at all and I almost missed the functionality entirely. The user interface needs to be adjusted to make it more obvious that you can scroll through. Yes there is a dot, but there should be an additional 3 unfilled dots next to it to show there are a total of 4 options to scroll through.
Great app

Awesome app. Actually free to use, ads are not invasive, useful tracking feature. I’m glad I found it.
Video ads!
PSTMD
App is useful and easy to use. The banner ads at the bottom are not a problem but recently the app has started running video/audio ads that won’t shut off without closing the whole app and rebooting, or letting the ad open in the App Store. Unacceptable! I will be removing this app from my practice.
A+ app
#ZumbaQueen
I absolutely love this app. It is spot on. I love how it figures out the babies age in hours for you. It graphs and trends the bili levels. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the app keeps crashing.
Updated clinician workflows, clearer charts and reading history, improved accessibility, and fixes for saved-data upgrades and restored purchases.
