i hate the idea of reading summaries because I’ve always love the feeling of finishing a book. to me, summaries are like cheat sheets, it’s an excuse for one to not read the book but still get the idea of the book. but as i grew up from elementary school, i have to help out at my parents restaurant and deal with school work to the point where i don’t even have time for myself. i could fit like some workouts into my day and that’s basically it. i never had to to read anymore. that is until i stumbled this app. at first, i didn’t like this app simply because of the fact that it’s summaries. the word just gives me a no. but after a while of thinking, i decided to give it a go because at least summaries at better than nothing. it’s free for like 99 percent of the app, i did pay for anything and like 99% of the app is free. i think if you pay a certain amount you can get premium or something but heck that, what i get within the app for free is just so amazing already. the app gives an in depth summary of nonfiction(i belive) books so you get all the key points and take away without spending time to flip through pages. you can read the summaries or listen to them. i listen to them before bed when i clean up my room and it’s such a life saver. think audiobook. listen to it when you run or drive or just anywhere. life changing. just wow. no words. gotta download this app. no excuses.

I highly recommend this reading app to any lover of non-fiction books. I listen to a book every morning on my commute (the pandemic was a tough bc I worked from home). The Personality series is my favorite and wish they would expand this area more rapidly!! A “classic fiction” section would be ideal🤞🏼 One small “problem” is that I check off the books I want to read and then get confused over which one’s I have already heard. HINT HINT: add a “listen to again” feature on each book so I know if I’ve heard it once before. (Or even twice😉). Anyway, I was given a lifetime subscription for my birthday and it was honestly the best birthday gift I have received in years! This app is worth every penny, … money well spent!

I love this app because of how much I am able to retain the information I’ve learned. I’m a neurodivergent so getting straight to the point is so helpful for me. And this app does just that. 12mins is the perfect time for a summary before my mind starts to wander off about what I’m making for dinner later. And I love the fact that there are quizzes at the end for you to test your knowledge. I’d recommend this app to anyone. Only improvement I’d say is to fix the quizzes they sometimes freeze up and the multiple choices get added to the wrong questions. Or it doesn’t go to the next question like it should. Also they could be a tad longer. For deeper testing of knowledge. But great app overall.

These “summaries” are not even written in sensible English. I’ve read the entire content of five of the “mini books” recommended to me by this app. All five appeared to have been created by a non-English-speaker using a software algorithm. I suspect the use of an algorithm because of the frequent appearance of paragraphs with no logical or thematic connection to the paragraphs around them. As for the quality of the English, here are some verbatim passages: “Indeed, HSPs are naturally inclined to feel uncomfortable when it comes to intimacy. This trait also induces a risk-free attitude or advocates for the absorption of acts that contain minimum insecurities.” “That caused the company to invest more than 200 million dollars in a product that did not obtain commercial success, and until today it looks for its real applications in the market. Most of the time, a founder of a startup does not know their market as established companies.”Each summary contained at least one typo, most had multiple, and one had more than twenty and was also littered with formatting errors. Okay, so they aren’t pretty, but did I learn from the five summaries I read? With a lot of concentration and reading between the lines, I could discern the general shape of the source material of one. For other four, I know no more about the book than what I knew from the title and author’s name alone.Look elsewhere. There are far, far better book summary apps and services out there. Stay away from this dreck!
