I am not an IT person but for years I have complained that the wifi strenght in my office was crap and everyone would pull out their phone, tablet, and laptop and run a speed test and tell me I was an idiot the speed is just fine. I would try to explain well yeah you just signed on but stay a while and you will see for yourself the signal strenghts drops and the speed is slower than 3g. They would laugh and walk away. Then I found this App and finnaly after years the boss and IT fixed my problem because i could show them more than the stupid speed test.

I like the convenience of having the WIFI strength and SSID on the top of the screen. I also like being able to quickly see what the background noise is, things change and you need to see it quickly. I need also to check WIFI to make sure I’m not setting up something on the same channel as another person next door. Like I said, this fits what I need without dropping to the shell and running ‘airport -i / -s’ repeatedly.

I am not any IT expert but I have been monitoring my network for over a year. I use three VLAN's each one for specific application Security system, networking, and commun ication connection. aAll of them uses a mix of hardwire and WiFi connection. I like to make sure that the WiFi connections are working to the best of their capacity within the whole system. That is the reason I've been using this tool. It works great for me.

The new version is now loading for me at logon. I have it set to load automatically without fussing. WiFi strength and connection shows in the menu bar. The further information is readily available. Thanks for the update.
