I came across this game while looking for some free adventure games and I’m very glad I decided to download it. This game is more of a story than a game, you really don’t have to do much of anything. But it is a wonderful story of life told without any words and I find it relaxing. The visuals are very calming and the music fits really well. This is definitely an experience more than a game. Introverts and visual artists will especially love this. There are parts that are louder than others (like in the teenage stage), but generally the audio is soothing and calm. Also: If you like this game, I recommend the game Lost Tracks. It’s a bit more interactive but it’s about a journey within oneself and facing anxiety. Lost Tracks has very similar visuals but they are colored, and a bit more detailed. Overall I really enjoyed this game, and I think you will too. And if you do enjoy Long Journey, then I recommend checking out Lost Tracks as well. I wish there were more games like this.

In fact as I walk I play. This is high art and cinema and drama as much as it is a ‘game’. The rules are simple. Always move forward. Sometimes there are helpers. Sometimes you must go back for people for them to come along. And in the end we will all reach the end of our journey. Thank you for building this.

A beautiful, relatable, & emotional experience that evokes all the senses. This app feels like a marriage between a movie, picture book, and game. I recommend opening the app for the first time at night, in a quiet place, with headphones on. The audio experience is just as important as the visuals! From there just go with the flow. Being the introverted & introspective type of person I am, this is very easy to appreciate and love.
