This app does a good job of scanning for, then listing all your apps alphabetically. You choose which you want to uninstall. Uninsall programs are shown too, so you are reminded of that option (assuming it is alphabetically grouped with the main program). It does prompt you to manually delete some files, but you just click the magnifying glass and you are taken right to the file. Then you just drag it to the trash. Pressing proceed then gets all green checks and the selected program is uninstalled. Note that file paths are clearly shown for each file, keeping you well informed about how the selected app was installed.The bottom line is that this is now my favorite uninstaller. Yes, you could go search the folders manually for apps and configuration files. This seems a lot easier. You also don’t have to keep a service running all the time in the background, like some other uninstallers.

I had another highly rated app uninstaller for years until recent updates made the app perform very slow and support was pretty poor. Becasue of that I decided to try this app and I am impressed. The first scan took awhile because I had another app on my Macbook that was eating up resources. Even though I knew what it was I wanted to make sure that is was uninstalled completely. This app did the job and subsequent scans took much less time. Since then I have successfully uninstalled a number of applications that I no longer use and have just remained on one MacBook after another. I am confident that all related files are uninstalled (which is important, no point of having all that junk on my disc). HIghly recommend this app.

I am always hesitant to remove files squirreled away within obscure folders, but gave this App a try on some applications that I care nothing about, and would not mind if they were “corrupted” or otherwise damaged. They weren’t, but the App clearly walked me through the process of removing them. There was a moment of hesitancy when the app asked for permission to access my Home and Applications folders, but as they were only accessing the path, and did NOT ask for my administrator’s password, I thought that would be OK.App Installer is free for a limited time, and I definitely recommend it. It is probably well-worth it’s future price of $10.

Scans and removes as expected. Forced to select apps from a scrollable list which displays only 5 items at a time. Could not expand window (HUGE desktop monitor felt wasted!) Some packages (and some packages' sub-apps) ALL require authorization, so after apps were selected for removal, one by one, I had to keep selecting the text entry field with mouse, then enter password and then, move to next authorization dialog box... in my case more than 50 times! Then I noticed one app that I meant to keep and I decided to "cancel" that one authorization and continued on with the rest, but when it hit "proceed" to then remove the selected apps, it kept popping that one app's authorization screen up. I had no choice but to move "back" in the process which cancelled EVERYTHING and I had to start the entire process all over again, scrolling 5 at a time and picking the apps for removal again! Then re-authorizing one dialog box at a time. This felt like something I wouldn't mind if it were a free app, but NOT the user-friendliness and forethought of design, I would expect from a rather pricey app.If I were to do it again I would try a free offering first. I thought from a "Number one rated app" I would get something more user-friendly.
