An engaging reference and visit tracking tool with pictures, info, maps, and links to information on holy places of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Create your personal history of our sacred Temples, Historical Sites, and Visitors' Centers by tracking visits with notes, photos, and the ordinances performed.
Designed for iPhone, iPad, and the foldable iPhone Duo, with the list beside the details on larger screens. On iOS 27, you can even record a visit just by asking Siri.
Explore
• Full-screen interactive map with a Timeline mode — watch temples spread across the world from the Restoration Era to today, starting with Kirtland Temple (1836) and the original Nauvoo Temple (1846). Step through dedication years, see the era and temple count as you go, or tap Play for an animated journey through history
• Tap a map pin to see the place photo, then open the place or get directions without losing your spot
• Continent outlines keep the map usable with little or no service
• Filter the map and list by category, visited, or not-visited
• Sort by Alphabetical, Nearest, Country, Dedication Date, Announced Date, or Size (temples)
• Place Details with quick links to map the location, navigate, call, or view the website
• Historical names and photos — places that have been renamed show the name and image from the time of your visit
• Regular updates including the latest progress on temples under construction
Track
• Record visits with notes, photos, and ordinances performed
• Edit a visit later, including changing the place
• Optional profiles to track visits separately for family members — record one visit for several people at once, or copy visits to another profile
• Filter visits by place type, ordinance type, or favorites
• Set annual goals for temple visits and each ordinance, and track your progress
• Optional reminder notifications to record a visit after leaving a holy place

This is the biggest update to Holy Places yet. Home, Places, Visits, the map, Record Visit, visit details, Achievements, and Profiles have all been rebuilt from the ground up, and with iOS 27 you can record visits and more just by asking Siri.
Made for every screen:
- iPhone, iPad, and the foldable iPhone Duo each get a layout that fits, with the list beside the detail whenever the screen is wide enough
- Larger, easier-to-read text in the Places and Visits lists
Ask Siri (iOS 27):
- Record a visit by saying something like "Record a visit to the Columbia South Carolina Temple in Holy Places." For an active temple Siri asks which ordinances you did, and for any place it asks whether to add notes
- Get directions to the nearest holy place
- Check your progress on this year's goals and how many temples you've visited
- Open a place or visit, or search places and visit notes
Map:
- Tap a map pin to see the place photo next to its name. Tap the photo or the name to open the place, or the arrow for the same navigation choices as the place screen.
- Place names appear as you zoom in, without covering each other or the pins
- Continent outlines keep places visible when service is low or unavailable, until the full map imagery loads
Also new:
- A new default Home photo, and a Crop to fill setting for the Home background — turn it off to show the whole photo with a complementary color in the remaining area
- When importing visits, you can replace the notes on visits you already have so edits made on another device come across
Bug Fixes:
- Home screen goal progress updates as soon as you change goals in Settings
