Even increases and decreases. Enter your stitch count and follow a ready-made instruction line, with buttonholes and gauge too. Now with full support for large text.
StitchEven does the knitting calculations for you, so your increases, decreases and buttonholes come out evenly every time. Fast, simple and intuitive, made by a knitter for knitters.
Enter your stitches and the app works out a clear, ready-to-knit instruction:
• Even increases and decreases, spread as evenly as possible across the row, in the round or worked flat.
• Buttonholes, evenly spaced along an edge.
• Gauge: cast on the right number of stitches for a desired width, or convert a pattern to your own gauge.
• A built-in list of abbreviations, so the instructions are easy to read.
Follow the instruction step by step: tap to advance, the current row lights up, and the screen stays awake while you knit.
Choose the most precise distribution, or a simpler instruction that is quicker to follow.
Made for knitters:
• Six languages: English, Norwegian, Danish, German, French and Swedish.
• No ads, no account, no data collection.
• Works completely offline.

From KniTime. Happy knitting!
I bought this app to help me place sleeve increases evenly over a certain number of rows. Instead, the app only seems to places increases/decreases across one row of knitting. My mistake for not understanding the app’s limitations. It would be a great feature to add!
Easy way to evenly increase or decrease
TurboKnitter
This app is simple and intuitive to use. I wanted an app to calculate how to do the required number of increases or decreases evenly across the row and this does exactly that. I chose it to replace the app ‘Knit Evenly’ which was no longer offered on the App Store. This has the advantage of a built in counter that you can use to track the number of increases or decreases you have done. The only thing that would make it better is if it had one feature that Knit Evenly had - it offered two options. One was perfectly evenly spaced (as done in this app) and the other was not perfectly spaced but an easier sequence to remember and pretty close to evenly spaced.
Developer Response
Thanks for the thoughtful review, and I'm glad StitchEven filled the gap that Knit Evenly left behind. The second option you described is exactly what the latest update adds. Alongside the perfectly even distribution, you can now get a simpler sequence that's easier to remember and stays close to evenly spaced. Update to the newest version and you'll find it there. I'd genuinely like to hear how it works for you once you've tried it.
Doesn’t work as promised
mirgast
Fine for increases and decreases but not for buttonhole placement
Developer Response
It works for buttonhole placement if you use decreasing an instead of knitting 2 together you make the button. The buttonhole will then be evenly placed. Best regards Tone
Does what it's supposed to.
GlamGramma
No bells and whistles. Does exactly what it's supposed to. I'm a pattern designer and I use this with every pattern. Worth the price in my opinion.
Do you use larger text on your phone? The whole screen now scrolls, so your instructions, buttons and results are always easy to reach, whatever text size you knit with. Plus small technical improvements.
