When it works - Great App. Audio Doesn’t Work A LOT

This is an expensive app/ subscription (in my opinion) for it to not be working as often as it is. When it works, I absolutely love it. Native speakers going line by line in very clear, well-paced, easy-to-understand speech. It really helps to learn new words, patterns and pronunciations when you hear them say it as you read it. It can be dowloaded and played offline, which is also great.The problem is the audio won't come on half the time. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I have waited to see if its being downloaded. Turned the device off and on. It just works when it wants to and doesn't when it doesn‘t. There is no customer service. No email or phone number. The best you get is a page with answers to some FAQs, which also doesn't help the problem. It says to just wait because it takes a while to download. App says the issues are already downloaded. Even issues I've already downloaded and listened to several times on several different days won't play again on other days the app is being buggy. Sometimes i have to go forward to the next page and then go back to get the previous page to play. Its weird. Again - very expensive to have all these problems.

I downloaded and registered for a 3 month subscription. It looked like the subscription didn’t unlock features properly as I couldn’t play the audio. When I checked what I had subscribed to, it clearly showed I had subscribed to that audio portion of the app as well. The developer told me I needed to contact Apple.(?) Apple said all they could do was refund my money as the developer provides application support (which makes sense).Unfortunately, the only option I could take was to cancel the subscription and get a refund.

Every time I open the app all my previously downloaded issues are gone and I have to download them again even though I am already signed in, the app is always wanting me to purchase the edition. Very disappointing. I have been a Deutsch Perfekt reader for twelve years. This is terrible.
