I was afflicted with a bothersome virus last night and couldn’t shake the problems it produced by myself. This morning, I purchased the Antivirus Zap app and launched it to see if it could fix the problem. It took a little bit of time just to install the app and to launch it, but once it did launch, I saw the start screen, but didn’t find any button that would send me to a guide to the app. Since my virus problem was primarily centered on Safari, I chose the “Browser Restore Scan”. Since I didn’t have a guide, I didn’t have any idea what to expect, but the scan eventually went through about 400,000 files finding 28 problems to be deleted taking about 45 minutes to get the indicator that the scan was complete. Two problems I had to delete manually. They were minor apps that I had for at least a couple years, but don’t remember using. It surprised me that these two items didn’t appear to be related to the browser scan, so perhaps the app conducted a deeper scan outside of the browser related issues. The app was asking for an immediate response of whether things were fixed, so I opened Safari, and yes, it appeared to be back to normal, with no unwanted tabs opening up and no crashes. Based on this initial experience, I’m giving the experience 5 STARS. Since I have no guide (yet), I have no idea what the difference was between what I did and what the Quick, Normal, Full, or Directory scans do. But I think I’ll find the answers somehow soon. If future experience with this app has similar results, I’ll consider purchasing this app as nine dollars well spent!

My I-MAC wa slow and it would not stay connected to the internet. I had to restart the computer if I did not make an enrty in 15 minutes or 30 minutes if I was working on an internet sight. I used computer cleaners, which cleaned some of the bad files; but I still expereinced the internet conection problems. I paid over a hundfed $$ for a service to clean my computer, and it took care of my problem temporarily, but did not solve it. I purchased and installed Antivirus Zap sofware on my computer and did a quick scan. It found 52 corrupted files that the other 3 attempts did not find. I deleted the corrupted files and my computer seems to be running faster and I was able to reconnect to the internet without having to restart my computer. What was said in previous writeups about MacKeeper and Megabackup is true. They are bad for your computer and patience. They apparently plant bugs deep in your computer so they disrupt things so you will buy their software at a monthly charge which is more than the one-time sale price of Anti-virus Zap. Antivirus Zap detected these deepl hidden viruses. I hope it detected and allowed me to, delete these files from mhy computer operating system. Only time will tell. It is well worth the $4.95 adn savings in my personal frustrations to regain control of my own com[puter. I look forwafd to doing a Normal, Full, and Directory scan in the next few days over night so I can be sure that it gets them all. It is also nice to know that this software will alert and protect me to future viruses as my compujter is exposed to them.

I had this virus on my computer called Torvi and it kept redirecting me to different pages and also giving me unwanted pop-up windows. I am not very experienced when it comes to computers and navigating through finder to find the Torvi file in itself would be a nearly impossible task in its own. As a result, I decided to try this program out to save myself the time and most importantly my precious computer. Not only did Antivirus Zap find the infected file but also 50 other infected files that I had no idea were hiding in my computer. Paying only 6 dollars to ensure that your computer runs smoothly is not only worth it but I believe it’s a necessity. You never know what can be lurking in your computer, especially unapproved spyware. That being said, I strongly recommend this program to anyone facing computer difficulties or to anyone that just wants to clean their computer. The only downside to this program is that it does not give you an estimated time on how long the scan will take. However, you can pause the scan at any time and immediately delete the infected files the scan found.(Computer: Macbook Air, 2014)

I bought this app based on the other reviews of high praise for the app. And it’s got an affordable price tag with a one time purchase. So I did the initial purchase and ran a quick scan being my first software antivirus app purchase so far, and it found several viruses and was allowed to deleted them. But the tricky thing was that afterwards, it said my computer was clean. But I also got the adware and malware virus “searchmarquis” search engine bar hijacker tool that I heard takes you thru some other malicious sites along the way to the Bing search engine, and also has spyware and ads and slows down your computer from the malware infection. Well, shortly after using this product, I got this virus later on, and when I submitted a support ticket twice, they basically said to restart my computer and do another scan, but unfortunately, after a couple of attempts, it still remained on my computer. So after doing the initial scan, it says my computer is clean, but yet I know that the searchmarquis malware is still there and didn’t go away. I know there’s a way to manually remove it according to MacSecurity’s blog on removing SearchBaron and SearchMarquis. They also recommend the antivirus app called Combo Cleaner. It’s expensive but I heard it’s effective. I haven’t tried it yet. But this app failed to remove the searchmarquis hijacker adware and malware search bar, even after submitting a support ticket twice. So I would still recommend this app if you have some minor computer viruses, but wouldn’t recommend it for removing the search bar hijacker adware and malware virus.
