Frozen Funds

Currently Qonto is illegally withholding funds from me that are being direct deposited from a German employer as well as child welfare funds paid by the German government. They continue to tell me excuses and promise the money will be available within a week and I am now having to pay an attorney to take legal action. Highly recommend that you do not register for an account with Qonto for this reason.

A stupid Bank App

I never used a bank with such stupid process. We accidentally appointed non-European colleague as account holder, and as a result (???) the account was deactivated. And we wanted to fix this issue by appoint another European colleague, and we were asked to close the account. Because the non- European account holder cannot appoint another account.This is the most stupid process I have never seen.

As an answer to your rating, we would never close a Qonto account for a reason you are mentioning. Non-European are always welcome to open or join a Qonto account, if they have a residency permit in the county the company is based in. If a non-European tries to open a Qonto account without the necessary residency permit, the onboarding of the account will be refused. We hope to get an e-mail from you and find a solution. While we like the offerings we think it is too expensive credit card and general yearly accounting rate. We plan to move to another bank soon.
