Via Sacra, the pilgrimage in Linköping Cathedral, is 180 metres in length and visits two bronze tiles and 18 pearls embedded in the floor in illuminated stone recesses. These pearls form The Pearls of Life, a guide to a person’s internal, spiritual journey.
The Via Sacra smartphone app is a guide to your own personal journey through Linköping Cathedral. The guide offers:
– a presentation of each of the pearls and of the bronze tiles
– information and text to complement your own meditative pilgrimage in the cathedral
– films (in Swedish version only) in which the creator of the Frälsarkransen, Bishop Emeritus Martin Lönnebo, talks about the significance of each of the pearls in The Pearls of Life
