Why on earth would Capitec have an 18+ rating on their banking app? Both my kids bank with Capitec but they are unable to view their online balance or use the app because of the app rating. No other banking app has a rating that high. I have Family controls set up on their Apple phones so my daughters can’t even see the app. I think Capitec needs to relook at this.
Bad update
Very unhappy Capitec youth
I am a 16 year old user of the capitec bank app. I have been able to use the app just fine until their recent update of changing the age restriction to 18+. I can not look at my balance or even open the app at all. I think this is a completely stupid update as people that are 16+ are able to open their own bank account, but now they can not even use the app. Update: It has been a bit less than a month now, I went to Capitec bank to see if they could help me, they everything but helpful. The lady that helped me said that it was something wrong with my phone and that I need to change my age to 21+ on my iCloud account, but when I checked the age restriction it was 17+ (I am now 17), so I actually do not understand why it isn’t working. I have even tried to login on Capitec’s online banking website, but it says I can not login without checking in with my app account, so I am completely at a loss WORSE UPDATE EVER!
Can’t check transactions

Now crashes if I want to check my transactions. Shows error page and jump back to sign in page. I switch off my phone every night and ON in the morning. I've also deleted and reinstalled the App; none fixed the error.Now works after few weeks of frustration.

This app is good but, the budget function available on the previous version is gone, you can only track your money but can’t do active budgeting.
