Like I was saying if it’s handwritten DONT DO IT!! It’s always incorrect and your spending more time trying to figure out what it’s supposed to be saying and your deleting most of it… and if your trying to do a couple different snap shots at a time… DONT!! I think you could get away W/ 2 in a row but after that it’s an ad in between so that’s why I haven’t been using it as much I’ve just been coping text in photos.., but ya ads are a real drag.. hope this helps

This app works well, and its ability to work with so many languages and to interface almost seamlessly with my iPad’s translation function has come in very handy (especially this week when a friend brought me chocolate bars from an international trip with ingredient labels in multiple languages I can’t read). I can live with the free version’s requirement to watch an ad to do additional scans after a few uninterrupted scans in a single day. I’ve only hit that limit on rare occasions, and the ads are tolerable so far when that happens. I used to develop and test software for many years. I will always appreciate a simple and reliable app with a reasonably intuitive interface that does a few key things well.

I’ve downloaded prob a dozen or so different text scanner apps n this one is THE best one out there 100%. Doesn’t BOMBARD you w RELENTLESS ADs like many (MOST) of the other scanner apps. Some of them are absolutely ridiculous, can’t even use it there’s so many ads but not this app! SO RELIEVED finally found this one and was able to actually USE IT (what a concept!) and get my work done. Easy to use, intuitive layout. Does what it claims n does it well. ONLY text scan app worth having. I would know! ( Literally Downloaded EVERY single free text scanner app available, tried EVERY single one of them. The rest are COMPLETE n utter GARBAGE. Friends share images of long recipes because they never typed them out to begin with, but my recipe app won't display them. This last one was going to be a pain, so after a couple of moments of frustration, I thought, “Surely, there must be an OCR app that works with things in Photos.” I don't need a lot. I'm happy to “pay” by looking at ads. This seems to be a very powerful app, but for basic use, it's very straight forward and easy to understand. Select your image, select the language, press the checkmark, see your text. I was able to copy from there and paste right into my recipe keeper, without extra steps. SO easy! LOVE this!
