All MLB teams are included, including the National League and American League. Teams for all division are included. In the American League East there are the Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays, & Tampa Bay Rays. The AL Central contains the Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Guardians, Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals, & Minnesota Twins. In the AL West there are the Los Angeles Angels, Oakland Athletics, Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, and Houston Astros. Over in the National League East there are the Atlanta Braves, Washington Nationals, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, & Miami Marlins. Virtually Perfect
Since the dunces responsible for the MLB app have now made it so that you cannot use any other function in the app (checking scores, schedules, standings, etc.) while streaming a game, I had to go in search of another option. This app is virtually the perfect replacement—and is, in fact, overall superior to the MLB app in terms of information, presentation, and usefulness. I really appreciate the in-depth matchup comparisons for SPs, as well as the fact that the app shows the number and handedness of each player without having to click on the player’s name (as in the MLB app). The live play tracking is attractive and minimal. I very much appreciate that I can tap a team’s logo to see their schedule, depth chart, and stats (team and player), all of which require multiple steps of navigation in the MLB app. The only tweaks I would recommend would be to add some additional information present in the MLB box scores (e.g., ump names, time of game, attendance, etc.), lists of fielding, throwing, and batting stats (e.g., Team RISP, Team LOB, GIDPs, errors listed by who committed them, etc.), and the statcast info for hits (EV, distance, and LA). Some of this information is mostly useful for me because I like to keep score at home, so it allows me to fill out and check my scorecard more easily. Adding these features would make this app perfect. But as it stands, this app is already a dramatic improvement over the MLB app. I’m so glad to have found it.
Follows the Season Well
If you want current season baseball stats, this is the place to get them without all of the junk videos and junk sportswriting media sites force on you. You can reconstruct and understand games from the play by play record or the game stats as you choose. Team stats and player stats are well presented and well chosen to avoid ridiculous microscopic metrics that detract by their very presence.
No notifications
I don’t know if it’s something on my end or the app. I haven’t been receiving any notifications when a game is about to start. I have it set for 10 mins before a game start and since the season started, I haven’t been getting notifications. There are times where I’m not aware of a game and I don’t get the notification. I use to in the past but this season, I haven’t gotten a reminder. I’ve rebooted the app, I’ve even went into my iPhone settings to make sure it’s set for notifying me and still haven’t gotten a notification. This has never happened before. Is there a update that I need to know about? I haven’t received a notification to update so I don’t know what is wrong. I have loved the app in the past due to all it’s features along with notifying me when a game is about to start. Lately, I’ve been disappointed when I find out a game is on that I wasn’t aware of or knew one would be on but wasn’t reminded..
