Find a public bookshelf close to you! Take a book from the shelf you would like to read or place books in the shelf for others to read. Public bookshelves are some kind of free libraries where you be able to exchange or lend books for free.
There is additional information for each bookshelf like opening times, contact information and a related website.
You can help to create a great bookshelf database for everyone:
* Edit existing bookshelf data in case something is missing or wrong
* Add a bookshelf to the map in case it is missing
* Remove a bookshelf if it does not exist any more
The database is maintained by lesestunden.de.

* Creating a new bookshelf does now show all editing options in the toolbar instead of a drawer. This saves a lot of screen space.
* Big improvements for iPad layout: The bookshelf detail view is now just a small sheet on the side instead of using the full screen width.
* Use new iOS 13 icons to adopt typical Apple look and feel
* Only display user location button when location access is allowed. The app can now be used without location access
* Copying bookshelf coordinates now only requires a tap on the coordinates instead of a long press

Hello book lovers,
This update contains some small improvements:
* Improved bookshelf edit view with more space for opening times
* I had to disable clustering of the bookshelf markers on the map. This caused many app crashes because there are bugs in Apple’s map framework. I reported the bugs and will enable clustering again when they are fixed by Apple.
* Some minor bug fixes

* Bookshelf detail page now also shows the distance from your current position to the bookshelf
* You can now see the bookshelf GPS coordinates and copy them to your clipboard by long pressing on them
* URL validation when editing a bookshelf metadata got improved

Hello book lovers,
this is a big redesign for iOS 11. Bookshelf markers on the map now look a lot nicer!
Selecting a bookshelf shows an info view sliding up from the bottom without covering the whole screen. You can swipe it upwards to see more information about the bookshelf or just swipe it away to dismiss. This makes it a lot faster to look up information.
You can now see the address of a bookshelf and how long it will take to walk to this bookshelf. In case you need directions you can quickly start the navigation in Apple Maps.
The button to center the map on your current location got improved and you can now rotate the map according to the direction you are looking at.
I increased the size of the data field to enter contact information of a bookshelf, because sometimes this filed requires more space than just one line.
Some smaller bugs also got fixed.
