Tellus is amazing for so many reasons! First off, it’s FREE! I love being able to tell applicants that there is no charge to apply. I’ve even started to spin it by saying that we have waived the application fee. They always sound so grateful. Next best thing is that not only do they round up all the reports for you and put them all together in one place but they then - provide an analysis ‘with a recommendation’!!! It’s unbelievable! Even a monkey could select a good tenant using this! Of course, it’s wise to thoroughly look over everything but this gives you so much for nothing! And the customer service....is out of this world! No they are not there 24 hours a day - but they are there 99% of the time. The responses are quick, and even though it’s all been via chat, I get the impression that they are genuinely nice, friendly, and helpful people. And, I thought that the other reviews were kinda corny saying that they liked Zilly the kitty - but you really do come to love Zilly. I’m new to property management but my impression is that this is a game changer. They make it so easy that anyone can do it!

Great time saver! Been on this app since May to handle rent payments and tracking my expenses. It's been convenient to get notifications and communication from my tenants in one central source rather than emails, phone calls, and texts. At 14 units, this app still does the job great! I hope they build out a web version down the road for when I hopefully reach 100 units someday. I can see myself using the mobile version for communications and tracking while using the web version for reports. They recently built out an investment side too. Currently #47 on the waitlist for that. Pretty excited to be able to park my rent in something better than my savings account until I have enough to buy another unit. All-in-all, I've seen this app iterate and get better with each update over the past 8 months and am confident in the team's trajectory.
Love the property management, but reports missing

I absolutely loved Tellus for managing a property and collecting rent when i first got it. One of the biggest things I loved was the reports you used to be able to generate, which was incredibly useful during tax season. However, since around last year they dropped the feature and that made last tax season much less simple to deal with since i had to do things manually. They do however offer to generate it for you, but the overhead of waiting between messages for it vs self service which other apps provide is really hard to ignore. Now i have to decide if i need to switch to a different app just to get that basic feature back.I’ve asked support before, but they’ve stated they have no plans at this time to fix it. Is this because the team is more focused on lending right now rather than property management? I get it, because aside from the lack of reports the app is pretty much perfect for managing properties and tenants. Do you guys just not have the dev cycles to focus on that feature, or will it be gone forever?Really disappointing if so
Great rates, not so great customer service

You’d be hard-pressed to find a better APY than what Tellus offers. And it’s worth noting that this is more like an investment than a savings account, hence the lack of any FDIC backing of deposits. But so far it seems a rather safe way to put money aside and watch it grow much faster than it can at any bank. Where Tellus falls short, though, is their customer service.First off, it’s only available during the week, not on weekends, and begins at 9am PT, so the east coast has been going for 3-4 hours before Tellus wakes up, and even then response rates are fairly slow (I waited 7 1/2 hours for a reply to my latest message). Secondly, they’ve chosen a most inconvenient and nonsensical process to fund a Tellus account.You can only choose one bank, which isn’t necessarily uncommon but definitely limiting. However, the real kicker is that once you choose a bank account you can’t change it. As customer service said to me, “We are unable to remove or change your linked bank account at the moment. You must first withdraw your total funds to the current linked bank account before we can move forward with any changes.”What!? I have to withdraw all my money first?? This makes absolutely no sense. If E*Trade, PayPal, Venmo, Stripe, all my credit cards, and a host of other financial companies allow for easy online ways to change or remove bank accounts, I’m unclear why Tellus refuses such a simple service.
We’ve made stability improvements, performance enhancements, and resolved several issues to deliver a smoother and more reliable experience across the app.
