I’ve been using Unfold for 4+ years to run my online business to using their templates and reels for my personal instagram. It really has everything you need without the fuss. I use the instagram planner which has been a complete life saver for me. I’ve tried other ones but I love how I can edit and tweak images or add effects and then add it directly to the planner. I’ve been using their link in bio called BioSites for a while now. It has such a streamlined design, no fuss, match your brand colors and update on your computer or on the go from the Unfold app (my favorite way to update).Their templates have saved me when I need to get some content up easily and quickly. Also their templates are honestly not like anything else I’ve seen out there. You can tell they have a killer design team behind the scenes making these one of a kind templates that will truly make your images and content stand out. That’s why I’ve trusted them over the years. You need to pay to access more features, but honestly it’s truly worth it imo. Also the carousel creation tool has been so fun to make carousel posts from scratch. Sorry I’m ranting how much I love this app now hahaIt’s my go-to social creation platform. Highly recommend! :)

Unfold is pretty easy to use. Never had an issue when exporting photos or anything really. I know now a days apps have this yearly subscription called Unfold+. They have that here but I don’t do that. You do have to make some purchases to get that unique template. I love that! It isn’t pricey either. Ranging from $1-$3, I wanna say. So instead of making a yearly subscription on all templates even when I don’t use them all is a waste for me. Instead of a yearly subscription I get to pick out which template suits me. Better for me!! Though, to make this app better! I would like Unfold to make video editing happen. Have the same idea options of having to purchase templates that would better suit every individual instead of having a yearly subscription. We would have different templates, transitions, reels and timing. It would be so useful to me! Instead of having to use three video editing apps have it in one app. It’s a new thing that I see happen on every social media. I see it on Instagram reels or tiktok videos. Also for influencers using it for endorsements. I know they recently made the animation template in Unfold. Beautiful!! But only for those who have Unfold+. But that’s my reasoning for 4 stars. I love this app but I know y’all can do better upgrades and soon we will see better upgrades. Thank you :)

Update: I stand corrected, I didn’t notice it last night, but the app automatically saves low resolution (2.2mp) images of each page. For social media, e-mai, etc., that may be fine, for printing anything bigger than 5x7 it just won’t be sufficient. There is no reason why it can’t save at a higher resolution. There are plenty of apps that will combine infidelity images into a single PDF, but if the original resolution is bd, the PDF will be no better, and in most cases even worse. The Dev needs to work this issue out, and take the app Universal, and then he/she will have a winner. Original Post: While the app is very easy to use, and offers a lot of predesigned templates to make “story telling” simple, the lack of any output option is a real disappointment, making the end product functionally useless. A simple “save as PDF’ option would go a long way to making this app truly functional. Even being able to print the pages would be helpful, at the moment their is nothing. Let’s hope the developer can make this work.The app also needs to be taken Universal. This type of app screams to be run on an iPad; I edit my 24mp DSLR images on my iPad Pro, and building a story book with an app like this that can be saved as a PDF would be marvelous.

Love this app and design of templates. I get super excited seeing my photos in a new way when creating pages. It really makes them standout. ——After a while of not being on this app, I come back to find it overtaken by squarespace and a complete overwhelming mess. I appreciate apps need to make money - it’s a business but I also think big companies like squarespace assume that more features = better app=more opportunities to make money. I think this is wrong. So wrong. I am really tired of photo apps that were originally beautiful and tasteful in design adding so many features that you can no longer figure out who this app is for and the purpose, nor find the original beauty and simplicity. One other distinguishing factor of bad app evolution is when items that were originally free (ie classic template?!?) - that you have used to create content are now a part of the subscription model. There are still free items here - they’ve created new substandard stuff for free use. I also paid for templates in the past and have no idea if I can get those back. For the love of all good design, before people sell their apps, can they leave an old renamed version out there for those of us that don’t want to cover our designs in tacky stickers. We are the users that made your app popular enough to sell.

Good app. Not totally intuitive but once you figure it out it’s solid. Crashes trying to export sometimes but it’s a minor inconvenience. However a few major additions are needed: 1. The ability to see and edit your entire story in grid format instead of only being able to see it page by page - if you’re creating a long story it’s really hard to remember what was 20 pages before! I want to be able to drag and drop just like reordering images in a desktop image viewer. Also if you could see your story in grid format, it would be much easier to tell if you have used the same layout too many times or accidentally used an image more than once. 2. The ability to duplicate the page - for example if you want to try the same layout which has multiple images but only swap out one image, it is annoying to re-create the entire page instead of just being able to duplicate, dame goes for a text page with which you want to try different wording. 3. Full screen (borderless) image layout

I really love and enjoy creating posts for my Instagram stories via this application, the templates are really perfect and after only spending a few minutes on the app I decided I had to buy all the template packages available. I think it is really amazing as it is, however I do wish it could do more and here are some suggestions I think would be great if they could come with the next updates. For instance, it’d be great if one can simply move the order of the posts within an album from a further point of view instead of having to click on the left or right button until the post reaches where it needs to be. And if the posts could be moved from an album to another, too. Plus, the font and background colors are really limited, it’d be really nice if there are more selections and tones to them, etc. Anyways, thank you so much for creating this application for us to use, now that I have it I can’t imagine doing Instagram stories without Unfold anymore. 😅♥️

I bought the Plus subscription, only to realize that I can’t even edit the photo/video length in the templates. It’s very annoying because the templates are cute, but I can hardly customize them. That’s my biggest annoyance because the only way to change the video clip or photo length is to create the reel from scratch, but I bought the app so I wouldn’t have to do that. I also thought that there would have been a lot more reel templates, but the selection pretty limited so I’ll run out quickly. I guess that’s my fault for not looking more in-depth, but this app is advertised as a reel app. One would think they’d have a ton of reel options with editing features that allow for customization. It would be really nice if I could save the video without the music, too. The music is on the exported video, even when I turn it off in the app. Anyway, I won’t be renewing my subscription unless they enable editing in the pre-designed reels and add more reel templates. It’s not worth the price to me as-is.

For paid app the fact that images uploaded via Mac don’t show up as available images to put into reel or story which is pretty much the worst kind of oversight. Not everyone uses iCloud. Come on! At premium price for Unfold + it could be great App but 20 mins in got this issue and don’t need to copy over to an album 15 GB of photos It would be amazing if unfold (like Canva inspiration) could be resized for different layouts, then you could integrate those landscape versions in the Squarespace website ecosystem. That being said, why is this not a free add on for Squarespace clients ($600 a year isn’t enough?!?) or why not at least integrate and make available the exports in Squarespace into the acct easily. But again, the landscape layout (sometimes we have landscape with border to keep it clean. And more options cause Unfold + is waste of money really!

Problem 1: Every time there’s a new theme...my custom template order gets rearranged. And this has been a problem for a long time now. So my nice and orderly CS1, CS2, CS3, RP1, RP2, ART, JN1, etc...gets changed to (like today for example) CS1, HOME, RP2, CS3, JN1, CS2, etc. It will move templates I have not bought up to the front (no shade, just not into digital wave) and also the 2018, which is no longer necessary. Which leads toProblem 2: when I see this rearranged template order, I go into the settings to rearrange them and the mechanism to rearrange them...pressing the two lines...is very very very finicky. I’ve used this app on different phone models before and after the Haptic Touch update. I’ve used the app from my 7+ all the way to my current 11 Pro Max. It’s always been finicky. And by finicky, I mean pressing and lightly holding or pressing harder or longer, nothing will activate it until it will just happen randomly.

I have had this app for a few months now and I love to explore all the features it has to offer. I am absolutely in love with its templates and design options that allow for so much creativity and expression. I love using the app to create stories for Instagram but I have recently found I can make unique wallpapers as well. This is something I had been searching for, for some time now and am overjoyed I found my new go-to app for collages. That being said, I would be even more ecstatic if it were at all possible in the future to allow for horizontal templates or an option to convert from vertical to horizontal with the same format. I am still thrilled with the app how it is but a feature like horizontal options would be really useful for computer wallpapers or stories on other devices.
