As far as scanning cards go this is a great feature, but this frequently gets the set of scanned cards incorrect and correcting the set has to be done one-by-one, which is made even more time consuming on an IPhone X where the “x” to close card pages is hidden behind the time at the top left of these “notched” phones. I am also having an incredibly strange bug where I cannot read any of the settings for the app that contain an on and off slider. I can see the sliders in a list view in the options, but each row is completely blank so I cannot see what I am turning on and off.Searching in the normal TCGplayer website in this app is frustrating as well. The keyboard frequently shuts itself for no reason, loading seems to take ages in comparison to using the normal browser on my phone, and the layout of most pages still being exactly the same as desktop layout just zoomed out makes searching a complete nightmare, something that would likely be the reason most people download this app.All in all, this app’s potential is game-changing for those of us who sell cards. Scanning is second to none and I am hopeful for the ability to on the fly list scanned cards for sale without having to upload pictures. If even just some of these bugs are fixed this app would be outstanding for TCG players.

Hello! Key factors for successful scanning are: 1) scanning against plain white background 2) scanning at an angle 3) making sure the camera can see the entire card. It actually works very well. Read how I made it work

So I had the issue that majority people were having with the scanner being absolutely difficult, but you really have to just get this set up right and it’ll work great. Get some decent lighting that’s not directly pointing at the cards, you have to put a white paper down and put the cards on top of that in order for it to work, I also had a tripod for my phone which helped because I’m currently scanning 1000+ cards. So trust me with this set up I was just busting through the cards. Keep in mind you’re gonna wanna separate your non-foils from your foils because you have to manually change when you’re scanning foils and normal cards. It also doesn’t scan some borderless foils very well but it was like 3 out 20 that wouldn’t scan so I had to manually input those which is fine and also foil etched cards won’t scan I think at all. I tried messing with the scanner sensitivity in the settings on the app but it didn’t help so you’ll have to manually do those. So yeah, I think the app is extremely helpful. I definitely recommend it but you gotta have the similar set up as me. The tripod isn’t necessary but if you’re scanning bunch of cards, it’s gonna make it 1000x easier but also put the scanner sensitivity option to 3 because it’s very accurate, but it also gives you enough time to grab the card before it adds another to your list making it seem like you X amount instead of one less. I also just do it one at a time because doing multiple is too much hassle.
I like what it’s TRYING to be

I think the app COULD be helpful, but right now it is so full of bugs and lags so hard that it’s making it take longer for me to use the app than to just go onto the TCGplayer website instead. And I know it’s the app and not my internet connection, because I have tried connecting to 4 different WiFi networks as well as just using my phone services regular internet connection, and no matter the speed of the network it’ll still take up to 10 seconds sometimes just for me to be able to click on a card while shopping, for example, and load up the page for me to read the effect. That on top of another 10-15 seconds to add it to my cart or click the back button makes it extremely annoying. And then after adding the card to my cart I still have to wait another 5-10 seconds just for the search bar to load up on screen. And to top it all off, there have been about 5 times where I click on the search bar, and the app is lagging so bad that it just crashes on me and I have to reopen it. One bug I continuously find myself having to deal with involves the search bar. I will often click on the search bar to search for a card and my keyboard will pop up on my screen, but then nothing types out as I am typing. The solution to this is to close my keyboard then to reopen it by clicking on the search bar again. At first I thought this was just on my phone, but then my friend had the same problem on his phone so I’m certain it’s just a bug in the app. Overall I think the app could be much better if these basic problems are fixed, I’m sure there’s more but these are the only ones which have been hindering me in the last day of me trying to use it, and right now it’s much simpler to just go to the TCGplayer website to do card shopping rather than using the app.

4-Sellers: TCGplayer needs to add Quantity button on Upload page
Solbadguy ex
I would love to rate it a 5 out of 5.. but the reason I gave it 3 out of 5 it’s on major critical issue the reason is when uploading to the seller portal with your inventory their is no Quantity to select so you have to go through a hurdle headache process to add quantity numbers each listing after each successful upload... so the annoying process is this 1) “successfully” upload your listing.. 2) you have to go into your seller account 3) search card name in “my inventory stock tab” 4) edit manage listing 5) edit quality from 1 to 4-playset- 5) save 6) exit seller account mode back to normal app (restart this whole process which is super long and laggy) it’s real headache to do this for every card that has more then 1 quantity... I made mistakes putting in wrong numbers and listing that never made it on the site that I thought got scan it. creates unrest issues when you have lot worth of cards **PLEASE add Quantity amount during the upload phase.. the upload page I’m describing is with requirements take photo, enter market set price & normal or foil then upload... it really needs Quantity amount button so it’s one and done process** thank you for reading!
