Our company organized this 4 weeks long event, and we are current in the second week. Great fun, but tired for someone who doesn’t really exercise. But this is a team event, so everyone is doing their best to not drag their team behind. I have never done so much walking consistently for this long, I know this is good for me and I am sure by the end of this game, I can establish a habit of routine walking exercise. One comment though, the game rank teams that are approximately at the same area the same ranking place (eg 4 teams sharing 2nd place), but doesn’t order them on the ranking chart according to each teams actual performance, which is very annoying. That is even sharing 2nd place, team with higher steps may be placed lower on the list than other teams with lower steps. Also when taping through “today” “this challenge” “this mission” the ranking order does not reflect the actual but highly depending on points already accumulated. Please consider making improvements on this. Thanks

I’m obsessed with this game, and my family is too! We found the app to be so much fun and useful for kick starting our healthy new lifestyle. I think when you are first starting a journey, trying to get in an “exercise” routine can just be very boring until you get into it.We found this challenge on sale and got 20 family members to join us. We had a blast, we are also a competitive family so it was intense. Some of us were avg. over 20k steps a day. But it took effort to get the power points for sure.As someone who works in tech and along apps. I think the user ability is solid, as most apps there has to be upgrades as times advance but I think it’s a solid little app. I think one of the big things I would suggest is trying to get a better range of fitness gear I.e watches, especially cheaper watches to be compatible directly with the app, rather then having to use +pedometer because not every can really afford a apple or a Fitbit or Garmin. Those are all fairly expensive watches, and having to take your phone everywhere is sometimes impossible. Like I was at one point trying to do a workout but could not put my phone on me so I didn’t get those points. As I said as time goes on I am sure they will improve, there’s little tweaks. Literally every app will always have little upgrade so I’m not just pointing the figure.I would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone. I wish I had a job that corporate was paying for the employees to do this. I would seriously be so pumped to play with a large amount of people. Okay, now I am rambling. ALL I CAN SAY IS JUST TRY IT!
I’m so addicted to this zombie competitive fun!!

I participated in my first two challenges through work. Everyone may think “getting steps is easy or boring” but the competitive play aspect, the creative additions of fighting through obstacles and the running from hordes of zombies that The Outbreak Challenge provides makes getting some fitness in your life FUN! I’ve made new friends and strategized w team members, set goals, met goals, and enjoyed the heck out of this app!! When the challenges ended at work I missed it so much I started my own Outbreak Challenge getting neighbors, family, and even our kids 11 and up involved! Everyone LOVED it and we are planning to do another! I love watching all the participant stats and seeing who is breezing by me or who needs an extra “you can do it!” on the comment board. I think this app is incredibly worth it, well done, and comes w very responsive support for any game questions. Best app I’ve added to my phone in 5 years... it’s absolutely worth checking out.
Great for Team-Building

Our company purchased a year subscription and, while a bit pricey for an SMB, it was money well spent. We had some trouble getting participation beyond 30% company-wise after the first challenge, but those that joined the first challenge and second challenge mostly participated throughout the year of challenges and mini challenges. It was really fun for that core team of participants and the FIX support team was great about sending over resources to boost participation. They even provide you will marketing collateral to distribute and tell you when to send out what to maximize awareness and participation. If our participation was better and we weren’t in the middle of a pandemic, we would definitely renew. Not only was it great for employee engagement at our company, but it inspired some really amazing lifestyle changes for several individuals in our company and reinforced existing healthy habits for others.
