The Grateful Dead played 2,350+ shows. DEADSHOWZ knows all of them, from any angle you can think of. Yours forever for less than the cost of one grilled cheese sandwich! DEADSHOWZ 2.0 is the most powerful Grateful Dead concert reference tool ever to fit in your pocket — more than 2,350 shows spanning 1965 to 1995, searchable from any angle! Stack any search criteria you want: song, venue, city, state or country, date or year, guest artist, setlist position, one song into another, bustouts, shows you attended, your favorites. Combine them with AND, OR and NOT. Every show at Madison Square Garden. Every one that featured Bertha. Every one on a Tuesday. Or all three at once — and the count updates as you build, before you ever run the search. Long-press any song, venue, city, state or guest artist to open its Deep Dive — total performances, first and last, peak year, most-played songs, segue partners, bustout gaps, and every song that debuted or was played for the last time there. Tap a count and you get the shows behind it, and Back brings you right back to where you were. Found something interesting? Send it into Search with its conditions already filled in and keep narrowing. Winterland in '77 becomes Winterland in '77 including Playing In The Band in two taps. Mark the shows you attended, tag your favorites, and build playlists in any order you like. Send a playlist, your Favorites, or your Attended list to a friend with one tap — no account, no server, straight from you to them. Make it yours: twelve backgrounds, six typefaces, your own text color and size, and alignment settings for nearly every list. And where a recording exists, you can stream the whole concert with a single tap — a handy bonus atop the deepest Grateful Dead reference tool in your pocket. Recordings come from public archives, are never stored on your device, and what's available varies from show to show. No subscription, no ads, no account required, nothing ever collected. Just good, clean, musical fun! Grateful Dead lyricist John Perry Barlow called DEADSHOWZ "a very worthy venture celebrating the music of our lives." We're sure you're gonna agree... ...Nothin' left to do but smile, smile, smile!

Hey now! Here’s what’s new: • iPad and Mac: A new wide layout keeps everything centered over your background, with an option to show lists and Show Details in two columns. • On a Mac, right-click opens a Deep Dive anywhere a long-press does. • The menu now fits your screen, with every item on one line. • Search results now have their own sort arrows and a filter box, and flipping the sort keeps your place. • Drag along the letter or year index to scroll quickly through a list. • Dates follow your Date Format setting in more places, including date ranges, search summaries, the Recordings list and the lock screen. • New icons: A music note for Deep Dives and a calendar for Browse Shows. • When two Shows were played at the same Venue on the same date, each is now labeled Early Show or Late Show. • 2/3/1979 at Market Square Arena is now one Show, from Set 1 through the Encore. • Surprise Me now picks only complete Shows. • Many more Songs are now tagged as Originals or Covers, so those filters are more complete. • Setlist corrections: Songs on a number of Shows are now listed in the order they were played. • An updated User Guide. • Recordings: Front-of-Board (FOB) Recordings now have their own group, right after Soundboard. On a date with two Shows, each Show keeps its own Default Recording. Audio Format is now a simple choice of MP3 or FLAC. With FLAC chosen, a few Recordings play in FLAC for now and the rest play as MP3; full FLAC playback is coming in our next update very soon. • Player: Once you tap PLAY SHOW, the Setlist returns to the top, and a short tap on any Song plays it until you leave the Show (a long-press still opens its Deep Dive). Pause holds a Song that’s still loading, the slider’s times follow your finger, the mini player’s buttons are easier to tap, and a Show stays stopped when it ends. If a Song isn’t on archive.org, the player tells you and moves on to the next one; other problems stop the player and tell you why. Bound to cover just a little more ground…
