Improving but still some issues

Version 6 (124) has some great improvements to the UI and overall performance. However, I am noticing the images appear lower in detail than when viewing in another app like Preview. Would really like to see this addressed, since the reason for zooming into a photo is to see the detail not visible when constrained within the window of the app. Also would like to see the option to read subfolders. Keep up the great work and looking forward to seeing more improvements.
Developer Response
Thanks for your feedback!Great to hear you like the UI and performance improvements. Since version 6.1, the slideshow can also include subfolders, and we’re always looking at ways to improve image detail. Thanks for using the app!
Mixed bag

I was extremely excited when this app finally updated however, it broke some of the items that I absolutely loved in the older version. Ambience no longer functions in slideshow. I use this program as an info board for a company and the ambience background would fill in sections that were either cut off or letterboxed giving it a more professional look, unfortunately and no longer functions as soon as you hit play the ambience disappears. Unfortunately, this app does crash lot I suspect it's somewhere when it attempts to play video. It fails to ship transition appropriately, but I guess that's to be expected with new features. I am thrilled that they have now included sub folders, which is a necessary addition..
Developer Response
Thanks for your feedback!Glad you enjoy the app and its format support. In version 6.1, the slideshow now supports subfolders, and shuffle works according to your thumbnail sorting. We’d recommend giving the latest version a try!
Great improvements. Small backslide.

I LOVE this app, and it’s always served my needs. The new version is slick and clean. I’m very happy with the interface changes and the renewed focus on power hidden by simplicity. Two things are a bit disappointing in the new version: images are not as crisp as they should be and appear slightly fuzzier compared to other applications. Also, while you can now define all your own keyboard shortcuts, I do miss the simplicity of using modifier keys alone to control certain display options. That said, I’m sure I can define and remember a few new keyboard shortcuts.
Developer Response
Thanks for your feedback!Great to hear you like the new interface. We’ve noted your points about image sharpness and shortcuts and will keep them in mind for future updates. Thanks for sticking with us!
Would love to see QuickLook integration

I’ve been using this app for years and I really appreciate the active development. The latest release feels like the best so far. I would love to see QuickLook integration, if at all possible. Also, there’s a powerful third-party library called OpenImagelO that might be worth exploring. I too noticed a slight degradation in image quality; but for me, it’s a small price to pay for a very swift and sleek UX. Thank you!
This update brings many improvements inspired directly by your feedback. Thank you for testing, reporting, and suggesting!
