Beautiful, fun, and laggy

There is no question the game is absolutely gorgeous, both while exploring and during combat. The cartoon feel is well done and faithful to the comic book, a real pleasure to look at!This cartoon feel also is the reason I am so disappointed in the performances of this game: while beautiful, the graphics are nowhere close to complex, yet the game feels laggy on a maxxed out late 2016 MBP. Given the overwhelmingly positive ratings of the game on Steam, I really was expecting a much smoother experience.Hopefully the problem is only a patch away from getting fixed?

Great Art & Characters, Terrible Game Play

I played this for a long time because I was hooked on the characters and the story. The game play was tolerable at first, but eventually was just exasperating. It lags a lot.In New Game you have to grind, and grind, and grind, and grind, and grind, and grind, and I shouldn't fail to mention, you must grind and grind and grind, right before you grind some more. When you finish one dungeon you will need to level up 3-5 levels before you have even a shred of hope on the next.The way they measure level of difficulty is utterly atrocious, especially on "New Game ". If a dungeon level says it is anything other than "Very Easy" you will get absolutely obliterated upon your first or second encounter. Even on "very easy" you will often get wiped out if you get a couple difficult enemies in a single encounter. And no, it isn't the skill of the player. This is all turn based, so it's almost exclusively just a numbers game.I might recommend playing it through to the end of the story on the normal mode. You'll still have to grind some, but not nearly as bad as New Game . It's a cool story arc. Avoid the pirate air ship till you are level 20 .Story and characters are great, but the poor metrics and endless grind kinda ruin the experience in the end.

This is a fun little game much like a JRPG of a sort. Had no real problems at all, even on New Game Plus (after you beat it the first time) and it wasn't all that "grindy"Don't know why this one flew under my radar for so long. Glad i found it.

This game is great. Beautiful, challenging, multi-layered. Only thing I would like to see is this game gain BLUETOOTH Dual Shock Controller Support (Now that Mac OS has that buit in).Other than that....it's great.
