Millions of people are unsatisfied with the current social media platforms. People want to leverage technology to improve the world, but now they have their own fast and easy way to do it using Reyets.
Reyets is a revolutionary social justice network that connects and empowers us to protect one another, plus get access to civil rights tools, that allow you to know your rights, document and report misconduct, and access alternatives to calling the police.
WE ARE SOLVING A BIG PROBLEM
People don’t know their rights, and when they are violated, reporting misconduct is difficult, since each of the over 18,000 police departments has its own unique process of reporting police misconduct. As a result, 95% of people do not report police misconduct. Conversely, research indicates that a lack of public participation is a barrier to true police accountability. While Community-Led Policing (CLP) programs are effective tools to increase public participation, lack of access to resources is a barrier to widespread adoption.
THE POWER OF COMMUNITY LED PROGRAMS
Community-Led Policing is an organizational strategy that allows the community to solve problems, through witnessing, data collection, and reform efforts. A good example of this is a group in Baltimore that came together and uncovered that every 14 days in Maryland, someone is killed by police. Using the data, they compiled on officer-involved deaths they successfully pushed for a host of policy reforms at the local, county, and state levels.
REYETS IS THE BEST SOLUTION
Reyets is a mobile smart app paired with an AI-powered database. The Reyets app lets people know their rights, document abuse, and get help. Incidents reported through the app are fed into the Reyets dashboard that serves as an AI-powered analysis and record-keeping database. Data is then analyzed and used to support investigations into misconduct, help write better policies, and used by public defenders to support witness accounts in court.
A legal equalizer and mobile justice platform for the community.
This is an app that everyone should have on their phone! Not only does it provide you with an up to date rolling basis of rights and laws. But it also makes them understandable for the average person that doesn’t understand law jargon. This is a definite confidence booster! It also has resources from within such as a community feed where you can interact with people from within the app, without being worries of your information being sold and targeted. It also provides community resources that are catered to your needs, you are also able to fill out a report either if you are a witness or a victim of any sort of crime, the team then reaches out with information solely based on your situation.. talk about white glove service! I highly encourage individuals to have this app downloaded, you never know when you might be in a sticky situation.

Law student here. I am so very glad I came across this app. The ability to access info about your rights during police interactions while simultaneously recording/streaming video within the app is a very solid workaround for iOS’s inability to record video in the background while using another app. The sharing/streaming/one-touch recording features are also great. My only suggestion is that there could be a little more state-specific legal information. I could be wrong, but it appears that some of this functionality exists but hasn’t been fully implemented yet: the video window of the app displays icons correctly showing that NY (where I’m from) is a one-party consent state and a stop and ID state, but touching these icons yields a blank page with a “show all states” option at the bottom (touching “show all states” also yields a blank page). The information about rights during a police encounter is very good. However, in a few sections I think it might be a good idea to include a bit more state-specific info. For example, the stops & arrests section titled ”If police stop you while walking” includes this: “In some states, you must give your name if asked to identify yourself.” This is correct, but there are some pretty significant differences among stop and ID states regarding the kind of information one is obligated to provide if stopped by the police, and including some kind of state-by-state overview could potentially be helpful. At the same time I understand that there is a limit to the depth of info that someone in a high-tension LE interaction can be reasonably expected to take in. I think the app does very well indeed at communicating the most important information clearly and succinctly. All in all, 5 stars and I’m def recommending this to my friends and family.

Thank you for the review, and valuable feedback. You are correct about the state-specific information, and we will release a more in-depth implementation so that there is specific information for each state. We will also update the Stop & ID answer to address other states where the requirement differs (thanks for pointing that out). As for those icons on the video screen, they will also be updated in the near future to link to the full information as well. We genuinely want to make the most useful product for people to use, if you have more feedback or features you'd like to see, please email us at hello@reyets.com
Never leave home without it!

A timely app with a slick interface to boot. I love that the camera kicks in as soon as I open the app so I don't have fumble around in case of an emergency. The location overlays and meta data are pretty neat too. I haven't seen too many apps that do that. Having quick access to your rights, on the spot and easily organized by topic, is a big confidence booster in case you are in a sticky situation. The live recording to the cloud means that your footage can't be "erased" or lost. I've always wanted an app like this for myself and my family and never found one that hit all the marks. I hope I won’t have to use this app in real life, but I feel a lot better knowing it’s in my back pocket.
Extremely useful!!!

I haven’t had opportunity to take all the features on a test drive (fully locked down due to COVID) but I love what I do see. The location based information on your rights is excellent, the help section isn’t just technical assistance for the app but actually connects you to local resources such as legal assistance, organizations, and local organizers and press. You can send reports, they have curated relevant articles and the way the audio/video recording is integrated, it is available with just a tap without having to switch apps or fumble around.
Hello Change-makers,
In this update we squashed some bugs and streamlined the user interface to be buttery smooth.
Thanks fo the support, and let's get into some good trouble!
