Record, Live-Stream, Share

A dedicated app for DJs to easily record, stream, and share mixes:

- Simple setup
- High-quality audio
- Seamless live-streaming and sharing
- 30-day free trial

◇Simple connection
Install DJM-REC on your iPhone or iPad, then simply plug your device into any compatible DJ mixer*1 using a single USB cable. The port is on the top of the mixer rather than the back, so connecting is a breeze – even in a smoky club.

◇High-quality recording
Control the peak limiter in your DJ mixer via the app and avoid digital clipping with the tap of a button. Record audio from a digital mixer directly into digital format – there's no need for analog conversion.

◇Easy live-streaming
Effortlessly live-stream your mix through Twitch, YouTube, Facebook Live, Instagram, or Snapchat.

◇Easy sharing
Easily upload your recordings to cloud services such as Mixcloud, SoundCloud, and Dropbox.

◇Auto time-stamp
Editable track time-stamps are automatically created thanks to the fader information transmitted from the DJ mixer to the app, making track-list creation simple.
And, if you use a CDJ-3000 with the DJM-V10 or DJM-V10-LF, track titles and artist names can also be added.
Simply update to the latest firmware to enable this.

◇Club-standard sound
Refresh old tracks with powerful club-standard sound that can be easily remastered. Swipe the loudness slider in DJM-REC to increase audio pressure and smoothly adjust the sub bass slider to create punchy, heavy, vibrant bass sounds.

◇Record analog
Analog recording while your device isn’t connected to a mixer is simple using an external microphone or audio interface with the iPhone or iPad’s microphone function.

[*1] To use DJM-REC with our digital send/return- equipped DJ mixers (i.e. the DJM-V10, DJM-V10-LF, DJM-TOUR1, DJM-900NXS2, DJM-750MK2, or DJM-450), update the mixer’s firmware to the latest version via our support page [].

Love DJM-REC - works well due to continuous improvement

I'm DJ Jen Siren and I've posted over 50 DJ sets to SoundCloud that were recorded with DJM-REC. It has been a lifesaver for my pandemic DJ life! I've been able to recod moments where I've freestyled mg best mixes, and also perfect my DJ skills through listening back to my recording. Thank you!

My recommendation is to have the ability to adjust the sound on a time scale so that I can taper the volume into the intro and out of the outro. I usually use Ableton for that, but would prefer to be able to directly upload it to SoundCloud as a finished product.

That functionally is very nice, and I do appreciate being able to upload to different devices. It would also be cool for DJM-REC to be able to link to my CDJs so that the artists and song titles show up for the timings of my mixes. Right now, I export through recordbox, and upload to SoundCloud as private until I manually copy/paste from the export into my SoundCloud track info.

Again, I love this app!

Solid app once you follow instructions

After an initial poor review, I didn’t read this through properly. So some human error. There were a few steps to counter act the use of the app along with the older software on my 750MK2 mixer. Once everything was in sink, the app is actually quite good.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for your inquiry and sorry about the issue you have.

Please carefully follow the steps below to see.
Please make sure to close the DJM-REC app before starting the steps.
In Step 3, you should run the DJM-REC app for the first time.

1. Turn on the power of the DJ mixer.
2. Connect the mixer and your iPhone using a Apple-certified Lightning Cable.
If they are properly connected, you will see the top right battery icon in the screen will be lit in a color.
3. Run the DJM-REC app. < Up to here, you should not run the DJM-REC app.
4. Check "DJM DIGITAL" is shown at the top right of the REC screen.
5. Check the level meter is fluctuated with the audio outputted from the mixer.
6. Check the Send/Return ON/OFF button is NOT lit.

If no audio from the mixer is inputted to the DJM-REC app, please turn off the power of the DJ mixer.
After a few minutes later, please repeat all the steps from #1 to #6 again.

Also, if you move the DJM-REC app to background during any step in the above and before you start recording, the DJ mixer may not receive any audio.
Please keep the DJM-REC app always at foreground of your iPhone.

The following is the procedure for Live distribution.

7. Tap Instagram, Facebook or any live streaming app on the LIVE screen of DJM-REC.
After opening Instagram or Facebook, you need to live stream using such app's live streaming feature.
DJM-REC just sends the Rec Out audio (Master audio) to Instagram or Facebook.

8. Follow the steps below to set the live streaming app properly.
   1. Tap the camera icon at the top left of the screen.
   2. Tap LIVE at the bottom of the screen.
   1. Tap the Live icon.

in Step #7-#8, DJM-REC moves to background because a live streaming app moves to foreground.
If you move the DJM-REC app foreground, outputted audio may not be properly inputted from the DJ mixer to a live streaming app.
Please keep the DJM-REC app always at the background of your iPhone in #7 - #8.

If you have any other questions, please go to the inquiry page below, complete and submit the form.
