The default view is faint gray text on a black background, preferred by stoners everywhere I guess. You can’t just browse and point to a folder and begin streaming the contents. You can pick one .wav file in the folder and then, when you’re ready to hear the next track (god-forbid “shuffle”), you have to re-browse and find the next track. I didn’t think anything could be worse than Quicktime and Apple Music, but I was wrong.

Thanks for your feedback. The app has been completely rebuilt in version 3 with a new native architecture, greatly improving stability and performance and new features. If you haven’t tried the current version yet, we recommend giving it a try.
Finally! A simple player UI

I am appalled at the devolution of iTunes. It used to be my favorite player...back in 2003. But with every control trying to lead the user to paying $$$ forever to stream music I've already paid for drives me nuts. I have paid for at least 1200 CDs, ripped them, and carefully encoded them to different data rates to fit the music player de jour. Now, I'm back to the question of what can I use to simply queue up and play whatever I'm in the mood for, without dealing with someone elses opinion inserting itself.Ampado seems to do the job with no fuss on my INTEL MAC MINI from 2018...that I hope Apple will continue to support. Hopefully I will get to enjoy this solution for more than a few months...
Nice little app but…

I like the pro app overall and it’s worth the money. However I have one gripe, you cannot drag more than one audio file at a time into it unless you drag an entire folder. So if you add one single audio file to listen to it, but then if want to add another, for some odd reason, it won’t let you. Seems very odd. For that reason only 4 stars. Otherwise this is a nifty little app if you just want to open single files or entire folders at once. One more thing. The app doesn’t save what you have opened in it once closed. Upon relaunching it, you have to re-add your files again. It does however remember the links to the files which is okay. For what I needed it for, it works good so far.

It starts out playing normally, and within seconds, the entire app/window goes totally blank but the audio is still playing. Tried twice with the same result. Waste of time. Uninstalled.
