While you’re taking in the breathtaking views, prepare to be amazed by the augmented reality, fascinating stories, and fun, interactive content on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway App! Enhance your experience on the legendary lift while you wait in line, explore the stations, and ride the tram itself. This location-based app features beacon-enabled technology that interacts with smartphones to show location-specific content as visitors move around the Mountain and Valley Stations. Through exclusive audio stops, learn about the storied history of the tram, the inner workings of the machinery, and the surrounding ecology and wildlife: there’s fun and educational content for everyone. The app features everything you’ll need to prepare for your visit, including weather conditions for the Mountain Station, Tram Cams showing a live video feed of the station takeoffs, and even fun photo filters to show off on social media. Also check out the augmented reality features, make a dinner reservation, or see what hikes and nature walks there are in the area. Get all the information you need and more, with FAQs, tickets, and current tram events.
This app is great. The AR is pretty good and the maps are mostly helpful. The main issue is that everything needs internet access; a rather rare thing at the top of a mountain.
Helpful and Entertaining app!

I had never been on the tram and really had no clue about the area until I got this app. I’m a big fan of audio guides in museums and this app reminded me of one. There are all kinds of useful and interesting tidbits about wildlife and the tram itself. The AR functionality is super cool and I love the 360 video of under the tram. 100% recommend this app.
Doesn’t work without internet

Would have been nice to be able to download the maps, features offline because it doesn’t work when you’re up there. :(
Stay away, just visit the park in person.

Asks for extremely invasive permissions before you can even use the app. If you don’t enable Location Services, o well, app won’t work unless you turn it on. Also wants photos permission as well when all I simply want to do is watch the Palm Springs Tram virtual tour before heading there.
