Spectrojam® listens to your microphone and turns the sound it hears into colors and shapes on your screen. If you speak, for example, you will see the individual frequencies emitted by your voice. If you whistle, you will see shapes and colors move and change on the screen in perfect sync with your tune. You will be amazed to see the frequency composition of the sounds in your everyday life. Each noise has a unique signature, and now you can see it all! The Musical Note Display can translate the sounds you make into musical notes. This allows anyone to sing a perfect "A" without even hearing a reference note. Spectrojam® can display up to 3 musical notes at the same time, allowing you to pick apart chords and harmonies. It works great with the human voice and musical instruments. Unlock Premium mode to access a high-resolution sound visualizer which displays up to 12.3 million samples simultaneously (8,192 frequencies * 1500 time slices) for extremely high precision and maximum clarity. The Color Modulator smoothly cycles through your color selections, producing stunning visuals. If your environment is loud, simply use the Gain slider to reduce the overall input volume, or boost it if you want to detect whispers, breathing, and quiet background music. I like this app so far. I am having a hard time buying premium version. I can’t hide logo. I’d like to record some of my guitar, keys and drums as some spectrum modes as a mp4 video so can edit as part of music video with visual spectrum elements.

Why would anyone want to spend money on an app that loads upside down on your iPad and has no idea what up and down is? Screen orientation is a feature smart phones and tablets use to keep the image or app correctly oriented. This app doesn’t. Why would anyone want to spend money on an app that’s only purpose is visual, when the text and images of that app, only have a one in four chance of being properly oriented? No thank you.

Hi Kokamo Jo, thanks for your feedback. The app now supports landscape left and landscape right screen orientations (version 1.3.0 and above). Spectrojam has a free mode that doesn't require any payment and allows users to enjoy all the Premium Visualizers for 5 hours by watching a music video. Cheers!

The ad says it unlocks the "premium" features after watching the video. Thats a little deceptive since they only are only unlocked for an hour. After unlocking premium features and adjusting input sensitivity to maximum level, visual display response was minimal even to loud sounds like clapping. Only sound input appears to be via the microphone which isn't very good.

Hi Visionhorse, in the newest version of Spectrojam, you can watch a music video to unlock the Premium Visualizers for 5 hours. To permanently unlock them, users must purchase Premium mode. In our testing, we've observed that older iOS devices have lower-quality microphone hardware, and therefore less visual response in the app. If you are using an older device, you may need to upgrade to a newer device for a better experience.

Looked pretty and started to vibe but then a google ad came up over the visuals and when I closed it it stayed. Ruined it for me .
