Bought a large tablet for my kitchen to upgrade the mass of dirty faded paper recipes to a 21st century solution. Transferring the recepes to the app was super easy thanks to the PDF loader and image scanner. The PDF was 100% accurate, the image scanning needed proofreading, but not surprising. Could go on and on but I am sure it has all been said before! This is how apps should be written! Completely functional advanced features that actually work! There are a couple things that would improve it even more: 1. The image does not rotate with the screen, so when my charging cable is in, I have to have turn it upside down or the entire 14 inch tablet is now pressing down and bending the tiny USB-C plug, so now the recipe is upside-down! Minor but seriously annoying all the same. I have tried 3-rd party apps to fix orientation but they have no been very successful. 2. I don’t seem to be able to switch to a list view. 3. A search and replace function would be great. Often one has to convert an obscure measurement from a family recipe into something more understandable and it’s a ton of copying and pasting. 4. I have to convert doc file to PDF for importing. Not a big deal but initially with perhaps 30-40 word docs it gets tedious. Overall, though this app=WOW!

I was using Google Keep, and just didn't have the flexibility I needed, and I didn't like the way you had to categorize the recipes. Recipe Keeper is awesome! The ability to categorize your recipes makes it so easy to find them when you need them. The best part, I think, is the ability to import a recipe straight from a website. Then you can make some minor adjustments, and in just a couple of minutes you have it in your collection. The only thing I could wish for is the ability to format the text in the recipe in several ways to make it appear on the recipe a little nicer. I will be buying another copy of it for my 2 other devices so that I will have my grocery list while at the store. Good work!Update: While I did get a response to my review in regards to the formatting of text within the app, the method is certainly not intuitive. You must place characters in front of and behind the text to be formatted. I had flashbacks to days of writing html. Just add the typical options most text-based apps provide; size, bold, underline, color, and even a highlight color option. I still really like the app. This is just a suggestion of what I think it would take to hit a homerun with the app. Thank you.

I was using a differnt recipe program at one time that was free. They revamped and announced they were going to be charging a $3 a month subscription rate. So I decided that long term, that was a lot of money. I had used that site for many years previousle. I searched and found Recipe Keeper and after reading reviews, decided this was the one I wanted to try. I am so extremly happy I did. It allowed me to import ALL the recipies I had in my other program with ease. I have loved how easy it is and now has become even easier with constant updates, to import recipies. The newest update has been my favorate that lets me import a picture of a recipe into my files with a signle click. I always double check them, especially if they are hand written, but most times they are imported in seemlessly. I have added my own catagoires to help in my searches within the program which is a big deal because at the moment I have a a total of 3029 recipies in my personal Recipie Keeper. I love adding my own photos, notes and ratings to them. I work in health care and many times share recipies with my patients. I can't say enough about how thankful I am that I found this app. Good Job and Keep Up the Good Work Recipe Keeper!!!

I have very high expectations for a recipe organzier/shopping/planning program and this meet, and I am very pleased with Recipe Keeeper. I This is heads above any of the other recipe software apps/software I’ve used or previewed. It’s sync function works flawlessly across multiple devices which is really nice especially if you have a spouse/partner with whom you coordinate on menu planning and shopping For instance, this week, my wife entered a bunch of recipes using her laptop, I then planned out the meal on my laptop (incorpoating those recipes), and then we did the shopping using the mobile versions on our phones. Very, very convenient.The online-recipe importing also works great— much better than any other programs I’ve tried. Also, I have to say that their support was prompt and very helpful when I contacted them about something I wanted to know about. There are a few functionalities that I could like to see them add (such as being able to print recipes directly from the meal-planner (Support told me this was in the works!), but on the whole I am very, very pleased, especially for the low cost ($5.99 per device)
