Some recent updates from Apple caused an error message to occasionally pop up when updating spam protection. We’ve fixed this issue, and now everything runs smoothly again, keeping your iPhone spam-free. - News from the Call Jungle! If you’ve already installed iOS 18, there’s an important change to how spam calls are blocked: When you have the “Block spam calls” feature enabled, calls from spam numbers saved in your contacts will no longer be blocked as they were before. This means your phone will ring for these saved spam contacts. If you’d prefer not to receive these calls, just delete the contact. Spam calls from numbers not saved in your contacts will continue to be blocked as usual. Additionally, with iOS 18, blocked calls now appear in the call history and show a missed call marker on the Phone app icon.
