Fun for a while, but the bugs are ruining it.

I bought this app on my Mac and was instantly hooked. Very fun game. Then I saw it was available on iOS as well, and, not wanting to miss out on the fun when I’m on the go, I bought that version, too. However, you can imagine my disappointment when I found out that my saved status from the desktop version didn’t sync to the iOS version. Instead, I had to start over again from scratch. Developers, please add the ability to sync savegames using the cloud!Update: just like many other users reported, after installing the most recent update, my savegame has been deleted and all my progress has been lost. I was somewhere around level 25 or 30 and I’m quite reluctant to replay all of them again.
Great game, but there are some issues -

First I have to say that I really enjoy this game. I had never played any games in the Bridge Constructor series, but I was a huge fan of the Portal series. If you enjoyed Portal, you’re more than likely to enjoy this game. With that said, there are some serious issues - I purchased this game on my Mac mostly because I wanted more screen space than the version on my iPhone provided. Yes, I had to re-do all the levels I had completed on iOS, but that wasn’t a huge deal. What *is* a big deal is that with the last update all my progress was deleted and I had to start the game over (even the levels where I had manually saved my constructions). Secondly, none of the achievements are being marked as complete, which is super annoying. Not that I care about the achievements all that much, but it concerns me because if it’s not uploading the saves correctly (which I believe should be giving me credit for the achievements) then I’ll probably end up losing all my progress… again. To summarize - if you enjoy puzzle games in general or especially if you were a fan of the Portal series, you should pick up this game - once they fix these issues. Until then, maybe stay away because nothing will ruin your enjoyment of a game more than randomly losing all your progress and being forced to do it all over again. Oh - I also wanted to mention that I really enjoy the little cutscenes every 10 levels. Seriously, if they fix the bugs mentioned above, I’d give it 5/5 stars, no question.
Its Super Cool

I haven’t enjoyed a game this much in a long time. Nope, I’m no one that has a financial interest in this game’s success. This is a reaaaaaaeeeeeeeeellllly COOL GAME! Best Game (But that is only my opinion) I can’t explain it all right now, and I’ll leave it up to you all so you can experience it all on your own. Once you get the controls down, (which are fricking simple) your little workers will be ok (yes - there’s some humor in it and I think it makes the game even more fun. Its a tiny bit interactive from a female robot voice, and when you’re making the actual bridges, there’s good/clever sound and visual effects that make things easier, not only so that you don’t get stuck, but so you can start hitting some portals, more often, faster… You make money, you save money - based on the quality of the bridges built, AND... THERE’S MORE THAN ONE WAY TO MAKE A BRIDGE. Yes! You don’t have to make A Correct Bridge one specific way to be “Successful” - There’s plenty of different ways to make a working bridge so your coworkers can make it to the other side. Enjoy! I redo the bridges often, too, I try to make them better or maybe do some far out crazy design that will still work. Its a lot of fun, just setting things up in a certain way and then Clicking on the “test” button makes an awesome spectacle. btw, there’s a lot to be learned by clicking that “test” button. Its a good problem solving, puzzle solving, type of game and some humor too. I feel bad for the people that lost their saved bridges when they upgraded, but there is enjoyment in doing them over, unless you’re a professional bridge builder and think of this game like a series of tests. Good Luck. This game is Awesome.
Fun game! Frustrating lost game state issues

This game is tons of fun. 5 stars for fun. However, my progress has just been reset and I was forced to start all the way from the beginning with the latest update. This is really dismaying! The good:- Glados :)- Portal theme!- A few laughs- Easy controls- Easy to learn- Building bridges is fun!The bad:- Some levels are less about planning and endlessly tweaking a set of planks to bounce a ball in to the exact right spot. This is more tedious than it is fun. And… sometimes, for some reason, you’ll put a plank somewhere else in the level and it will change the behavior of your ball bouncing planks, so you get to repeat tedious unfun plank tweaking.- Bugs (lost save game state! I have had to start over from the beginning twice now. Ugh!)- Inability to export save game state, or multiple save slots (my kids share an iPad, would be nice if they could play the game on their own progress).- Support page “intentionally left empty” - lol. Nice. Cool. So I guess I’ll just rant in the reviews instead.
