From chart toppers and guilty pleasures, to underground edits and bootleg bangers, SoundCloud GO+ integration means TRAKTOR DJ 2 packs a record bag that’s got it all. All your likes and playlists are available right in the app – just drag and drop any track you want into a deck and spin away.
SHAPE YOUR SOUND
Adjust the sound of your mix with EQs and a filter on each channel – this means you can cut the bass of one track, for example, and blend in only the vocals and higher frequencies for a smooth and creative mix. Effects let you manipulate your sound and twist up your tracks when things start getting groovy.
FREEZE MODE: REAL-TIME REMIXING
Hit the snowflake icon on TRAKTOR DJ 2 for iPad to freeze the waveform. The track will carry on playing, but you can tap directly onto the frozen section to play it like an instrument. It’s great for chopping up vocals, or for dissecting interesting drum beats to make them your own.

Nice app for casual DJing but it keeps crashing on iPad. Happened twice already. Unreliable in this state. I would wait for an update before trying.Update Aug 24: added a star for fixing the random crashing. Now just add internal recording, played tracks history, and some sort of preview function before loading to a deck and you will have a 5 star app!Update Dec 23: nice addition of the recorder but it is flawed. Picks up cueing even though the channel faders are closed. Seems to occur only on the right channel. Fix that and add played track history and 5 stars earned.Update Jan 19, 2020: Added another star as the recorder seems to be fixed. Recorded a 2 hour set with no issues with cueing sounds being picked up. The one thing I did notice is the recording time is off. After an hour the minutes continue from 60 instead of resetting to zero. So an hour 10 minutes reads as 1:70:00 instead of 1:10:00. No big deal though. Keep up the good work!

I’ve been a long term Traktor Pro user and started using the original Traktor DJ app when it first came out. Test drove version 2 as well but abandoned immediately when I couldn’t do basic things like adjusting beat grids. Color me pleasantly surprised when I took a look and saw all the updates! I’ll make apple give it 6 stars if I can once again set cue points and hot cues and that carries over to the desktop version of Traktor DJ 2! The moment that happens I’ll be looking at buying the new S4 hardware to replace my ancient Denon SC3700 decks. Salutes NI, salutes developers.... you guys are making Traktor dope again!

Traktor DJ 2 is capable of mixing professionally but it’s ruined by not able to access your recorded file in your IPad Pro. I was excited to buy new equipments for my studio to switch from Serato DJ working on the go with this App. But that’s not the case the new Traktor DJ 2 is different from the old App (Traktor Dj) where you can access your file you recorded. The Soundcloud is great if you have WiFi or internet access, but on the go most of us don’t have access to data or hot spot which defeats of having the Soundcloud feature in this App. I would have paid for this App if the feature was available.

I can get into this app easily. I bought an iPad specifically for this. A lot of the features from 1 are here. One feature I miss a lot, being able to look through a song waveform without effecting playback. Everything else I think is here. That I use at least. That would make my review a 5 star. Hopefully another update is coming soon.
Version 2.4.1 brings important bug fixes.

FIXED Multiple pop-up menus could appear on top of one another
FIXED Track selection isn't being cleared when tapping on the Transport area
