Edit: I have to eat crow. Customer service is amazing and quite diligent at addressing issues. This developer is really working to a premier reasonably priced calendar option for IOS. They care about their customers and are receptive to ideas and willing to actually implement them if they make sense. Don't hesitate to buy this one. The app has a few flaws, but I have no doubt that the developer will correct them slowly but surely. This really is a great option and I highly recommend you purchase. The pro version is worth every penny, and this is coming from someone who hates to buy apps. Why on earth is this not allowing my family to get the pro version at no cost? I have emailed the company and have yet to receive a response? The app says it allows family sharing, but I've yet to see evidence of this. Otherwise, the app is decent but I do see room for improvement. Recognizing conference calls and automatically allowing you to join would be great. Automatically showing a full screen view of calendar entries are selected would be nice (or at least giving the option). The option to keep Saturday and Sunday font color the same as the other days of the week would be great so it would automatically change with light/dark mode. I have lots of other ideas that would give this app a definite edge. There are a lot of things that I do like about the app, but my main issue is the family sharing for in-app purchase of the pro version. I need a resolution on this ASAP. Rating will be amended once this is rectified.
Developer Response
We have just enabled family sharing. Please give it another try!
Still the best

I have been using FirstSeed for a long while. Although I do try other calendar/reminder/planner apps, I find myself always returning to FirstSeed. The reason being is that IMO FirstSeed works best across the board, hands down. For example, other such apps frequently struggle or fail to locate addresses that are local to my location. This is a pain when wishing to include a map link in an event. This has never (as in not once) been a problem with FirstSeed. Also, and again IMO, FirstSeed widgets are far superior to those offered by other calendar apps. The list widget, for example, is fantastic. Little touches such as the ability to make the background color of individual days make the app even more useful. Finally, customizable options under settings are many and varied. This is an attractive feature set. All in all, FirstSeed delivers where others fall short. Recommended without hesitation.
Simply the BEST!!

Deleted Fantastical……Deleted Informant 5. Deleted Google Calendar. Plus any calendar apps I have installed. Paid for some but not all. Trust me I have downloaded and tried EVERY popular calendar app there is!! ALL of them were missing something that I always felt like Well it does this or that...but it won't do this one thing or another. This one hits all the marks and checks every box!! Vertical scrolling? DONE. (Really you have many scrolling options) Customize widgets? DONE. This truly is an app that you can make your own. Looking at Fantastical? Skip it and save $40 a year. All this app asks for is 5.99 and then you own it!!! DOWNLOAD IT NOW AND ENJOY!!! iOS 16 UPDATE!! See!! This is how a REAL APP COMPANY Rocks it!! Ready Day 1 with the iOS 16 update. Only building on the strong foundation of an app that was already an app that should be an “editors pick” in my opinion.
Love the timeline view!
Hheeehheeee
I really appreciate the timeline view widget and find it super useful. But there are some features that are missing and would make the widget so much better. Previously I was using another calendar app with a similar timeline widget named “Across”. It has the ability to set the number of hours displayed in the widget as well as more than one day. The start and end hours are also static and I slightly prefer this over the auto scroll. Since this widget lives in my side panel, I would love to see it use the bigger widget size which seems that almost no app uses. In summary, here are the features I’d love for the timeline widget.- ability to set the number of hours displayed (ie only display 8 hours at a time)- ability to set the display to static (ie my work day starts at 9 am and ends at 5pm, so I only want to see this range and not have it auto scroll throughout the day)- ability to set the widget to the largest size available (ie Apple News app can take up the entire page instead of just half)- not super important but the ability to see more than one day (ie the Google Calendar app has like a 3 day view option, and the across app lets you set 2 or 3 days)Thank you again for all the work you’ve put in this app!
- Added support for iPhone Duo.
- You can now change the time zone shown in the app.
- Added support for floating time. Times stay the same even when the time zone changes.
- Fixed minor bugs.
