I really enjoyed the ease of switching to DENT’s esim while traveling to different countries. This has made traveling much easier. There is a slight delay when crossing borders but if the country is covered it will engage eventually. I dropped a star because there are some weird glitches, like it will stop working out of the blue. My husband and I both experienced it on our iPhones. However, simply turning the phones off & back on solved this. All in all, I do recommend this. Just ensure the countries you visit are covered. I hope they will add more countries in the future, like Vietnam and Japan ; )

SSL error, account registration missing button

This may just be a temporary problem, but I just instated the app on an iPhone 13 and I can’t do anything because almost all selections in the app result in a SSL error. When this happens I get a popup with a “contact support” button, but tapping on this only launches my email with no receiver address. So I can’t contact support either without doing my own web search for the support contact info. Attempting to register a new account in the app doesn’t result in a SSL error, but doesn’t work because a “continue” button seems to be missing/hidden in the UI. I’m the sort who usually contacts support rather than leaving complaints like this in a review, but the “contact support” option seems to be “bugged” as well so I’m leaving this here just in case I fail to contact anyone. The developer should confirm that their company is still in business.To the developer: I did finally contact your Zendesk support system but I keep getting the same dumb (seemingly automated) message containing a false answer. After using a VPN I was able to get the app to connect so my ISP or another ISP upstream must be blocking your site. Please carefully examine your zendesk email and don’t have an automated system or idiot support rep who can’t read just close your tickets with a non-applicable boilerplate form email. If an ISP is blocking you or has routing problems you might want to investigate.

DENT data works pretty well in the USA. It uses Verizon by default, and T-Mobile is available as well. Data connection is fast enough for most uses when using a local connection. USA one is in northern Virginia. Some web sites, especially e-commerce sites, block access from DENT. It’s really annoying, as I have to find WiFi to visit the sites. The DENT Marketplace is more difficult to use than it needs to be. When searching for data, you can only see a subset of the available offerings, and you can’t filter by things like expiration date and price per GB. I have lots of DENTs, and the value of them varies over time. It’s really annoying when my purchasing power declines precipitously. The Marketplace always reverts to USD, and I have to change back to DENTs. The most annoying thing is that selling data often throws an error “Sorry an unexpected error occurred“ They might not expect the error, but I do. I just tried as I was writing this review, and I got the error again. I never get an error when buying data. It’s annoying, because most things work okay, but there are significant deficits in many parts of the service.
